Overview
We are seeking an energetic, strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to partner directly with ownership in scaling the business and leading capital formation efforts.
The ideal candidate has successfully raised equity and debt capital, built financial infrastructure to support growth, and partnered with operators to scale companies in the energy, industrial, or services sectors. You will lead financial strategy, capital markets activity, banking relationships, and long-term value creation initiatives.
This is a high-impact role for a finance executive who wants to help build and scale a growing company.
Duties
- Develop and execute comprehensive financial strategies aligned with organizational goals to optimize revenue growth and profitability.
- Oversee all aspects of corporate accounting, including financial reporting, compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), IAS (International Accounting Standards), and ASC 606 standards for revenue recognition.
- Lead risk analysis initiatives, including SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance, COSO (Committee of Sponsoring Organizations) frameworks, and risk management processes to safeguard assets and ensure regulatory adherence.
- Manage treasury functions such as cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and banking relationships to support operational needs.
- Drive mergers & acquisitions activities by conducting market analysis, due diligence, valuation assessments, and integration planning to expand organizational capabilities.
- Oversee budgeting processes, expense management, cost control initiatives, and financial forecasting to maintain fiscal discipline.
- Supervise financial analysis and modeling efforts to inform strategic planning and business development opportunities.
- Lead the preparation of detailed financial reports, interpret complex data for executive decision-making, and communicate insights effectively across departments.
- Ensure compliance with governmental accounting standards and regulatory reporting requirements for nonprofit or corporate entities as applicable.
- Collaborate closely with management on revenue cycle management strategies to maximize revenue streams while controlling costs.

Qualifications
- Deep knowledge of financial concepts including profit & loss analysis, risk analysis, market analysis, fiscal management, and business analysis.
- Expertise in managing SOX compliance, COSO frameworks, IFRS standards, GAAP regulations, and ASC 606 revenue recognition guidelines.
- Strong background in mergers & acquisitions processes coupled with strategic planning capabilities.
- Demonstrated proficiency in financial software systems and advanced Excel modeling skills for complex financial analysis.
- Excellent negotiation skills complemented by a strong business acumen to support business development initiatives.
- Demonstrated success raising capital (equity and/or debt)
- Experience scaling a company in energy, oilfield services, industrial, or similar sectors preferred
- Exceptional leadership qualities with the ability to inspire teams while collaborating effectively across departments at senior levels.
- Comprehensive understanding of governmental accounting standards if applicable to nonprofit organizations.
- Ability to interpret technical accounting issues such as cost accounting, tax accounting, supply chain costs, payroll management, and expense control measures.
- Strong analytical skills paired with effective communication skills for clear financial report writing and interpretation.
