Humphrey Automation is a leading industrial automation distributor serving manufacturers and OEMs across Canada.
We specialize in pneumatic systems, motion control, robotics, and custom automation solutions.
We are growing and looking for a highly organized, customer-focused Inside Sales & Operations Coordinator to join our team.
This role sits at the heart of our business supporting customers, driving sales opportunities, and ensuring seamless coordination between sales, vendors, and operations.
What you will do
Customer & Sales Support :
- Answer incoming calls and emails from new and existing customers
- Provide product guidance and help customers select the right equipment and components
- Prepare quotes and follow up on open opportunities
- Enter and process customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Maintain strong relationships with customers through proactive communication
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities during customer interactions
- Support the outside sales team with pricing, availability, and technical information
Order & Inventory Management:
- Enter and manage orders in the ERP system
- Check stock levels and provide accurate delivery timelines
- Monitor backorders and proactively communicate updates to customers
- Coordinate with purchasing to replenish inventory as needed
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records
Vendor & Operations Coordination:
- Coordinate with suppliers to confirm pricing, lead times, and shipment schedules
- Track vendor shipments and ensure timely delivery to customers
- Support logistics planning and help resolve delivery issues
- Work closely with the operations team to ensure smooth order fulfillment
Process & Continuous Improvement:
- Maintain accurate CRM and ERP records
- Support internal reporting on sales activity and order flow
- Identify areas to improve efficiency in order processing and customer response times
What we are looking for:
- 2+ years of experience in inside sales, customer service, or sales operations (industrial or technical environment preferred)
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working with ERP/CRM systems
- Detail-oriented with high accuracy in order entry
- A sales-oriented mindset — you enjoy helping customers and identifying opportunities
- Ability to learn technical products and communicate them clearly
Bonus if you have:
- Experience in industrial automation, pneumatics, motion control, or distribution
- Experience coordinating with vendors and logistics partners

Pay: From $52,000.00 per year
