Akkodis is hiring a Legal Operations Analyst to support our client in the Technology sector!
Location: Hybrid - based in Santa Clara, CA
Employment type: 1 year contract (potential for extension or conversion)
Pay: $45-51/hr
Overview
This role supports administrative and operational functions within a corporate Legal organization, with a strong focus on improving process efficiency over time. The position begins with hands-on execution of manual workflows (data entry and request processing) and evolves into identifying workflow friction points, supporting incremental automation, and improving operational processes.
The primary objective is to reduce administrative burden on attorneys and paralegals by streamlining intake, tracking, and reporting workflows. This is an execution-focused role ideal for someone who enjoys creating order from complexity, working with data, and quickly learning new systems. Prior legal experience or a law degree is not required.
Key Responsibilities
Legal Operations & Administrative Support
- Perform high-volume data entry and request processing for Legal operations.
- Partner with paralegals to intake requests, create matters, assign work, and generate reports.
- Manage the full lifecycle of legal matters, including creation, configuration, coding, and closure of inactive files.
- Review structured data tables and format information for entry into internal systems.
- Support intake and assignment workflows, including physical coordination or distribution of information when required.
- Review and process external timekeeper rates and fee arrangements against established guidelines.
- Manage intake and routing of legal invoices, ensuring compliance with billing standards before attorney review.
- Maintain matter-level budgets and track financial accruals from external partners.
- Coordinate updates across legal and intellectual property management systems to ensure data consistency.
- Audit matter lists across systems to identify discrepancies and prevent financial errors.
Reporting & Operational Support
- Analyze incoming workload patterns and help identify scaling needs.
- Contribute to dashboards, reporting, and operational visibility.
- Support data tracking and operational reporting initiatives.
Process Improvement & Automation Enablement
- Execute manual workflows to understand current processes and identify inefficiencies.
- Provide structured feedback on opportunities to improve formats, workflows, and efficiency.
- Support incremental automation efforts (e.g., formatting datasets, streamlining workflows).
- Assist with reducing repetitive, multi-step tasks through tooling and process refinement.
Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in an administrative, data entry, operations, or coordinator role.
- Exposure to corporate finance concepts (invoices, budgets, purchase orders).
- Familiarity with database or workflow platforms (e.g., CRM or data management tools).
- Experience working in confidential environments such as HR, Finance, Healthcare, or Legal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets (sorting, filtering, basic formulas).
- Familiarity with dashboards such as Jira or Confluence.
- Interest in Legal Operations, Finance, or business operations.

Pay Details: $47.00 to $51.00 per hour
