The Company
PayPal has been revolutionizing commerce globally for more than 25 years. Creating innovative experiences that make moving money, selling, and shopping simple, personalized, and secure, PayPal empowers consumers and businesses in approximately 200 markets to join and thrive in the global economy.
We operate a global, two-sided network at scale that connects hundreds of millions of merchants and consumers. We help merchants and consumers connect, transact, and complete payments, whether they are online or in person. PayPal is more than a connection to third-party payment networks. We provide proprietary payment solutions accepted by merchants that enable the completion of payments on our platform on behalf of our customers.
We offer our customers the flexibility to use their accounts to purchase and receive payments for goods and services, as well as the ability to transfer and withdraw funds. We enable consumers to exchange funds more safely with merchants using a variety of funding sources, which may include a bank account, a PayPal or Venmo account balance, PayPal and Venmo branded credit products, a credit card, a debit card, certain cryptocurrencies, or other stored value products such as gift cards, and eligible credit card rewards. Our PayPal, Venmo, and Xoom products also make it safer and simpler for friends and family to transfer funds to each other. We offer merchants an end-to-end payments solution that provides authorization and settlement capabilities, as well as instant access to funds and payouts. We also help merchants connect with their customers, process exchanges and returns, and manage risk. We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.
Our beliefs are the foundation for how we conduct business every day. We live each day guided by our core values of Inclusion, Innovation, Collaboration, and Wellness. Together, our values ensure that we work together as one global team with our customers at the center of everything we do – and they push us to ensure we take care of ourselves, each other, and our communities.

About the BXO Team
The BXO Team sits at the center of PayPal’s most critical growth priority: winning branded checkout at scale. As a core execution arm for the company’s highest-priority initiatives, BXO owns the end-to-end delivery of PayPal’s most complex and high-impact partnerships, where product, engineering, commercial strategy, consumer experience, and external counterparties must move in lockstep.
Operating with enterprise-level visibility and urgency, the team sets operating rhythm, brings clarity where ambiguity exists, and translates strategy into measurable outcomes. The standard is simple: results at speed, with accountability that holds under executive scrutiny.
As PayPal focuses on larger, and more complex partnerships, execution excellence is no longer optional. It is imperative.
About The Position
The Senior Director, Strategic Execution for Enterprise Delivery is responsible for leading execution across PayPal’s most complex and strategically critical partnerships. This role owns delivery from post-signature through launch, ramp, and stabilization, ensuring that PayPal’s commitments are translated into high-quality, scalable outcomes in market.
Reporting to the VP of Strategic Initiatives, this leader serves as the single point of accountability for cross-functional execution, aligning product, engineering, commercial, consumer, and operational teams against a unified plan. The role establishes the operating model, governance, and cadence required to deliver under compressed timelines, significant external dependency, and executive-level scrutiny.
Success in this position requires the ability to operate comfortably in ambiguity, impose structure where it does not yet exist, and drive clarity, momentum, and accountability across senior stakeholders. The expectation is not coordination, but ownership of outcomes that materially impact PayPal’s growth and strategic priorities.
This role sits at the center of PayPal’s most strategic checkout initiatives globally. It’s a rare opportunity to build the operating muscle from scratch, shape how PayPal delivers at enterprise scale, and directly influence the future of Branded Checkout for the world’s largest merchants.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end delivery of PayPal’s most complex and strategically critical partnerships, from post-signature planning through launch, ramp, and stabilization.
- Serve as the single point of accountability for cross-functional execution
- Establish and run the Deal Office operating model, including governance, operating cadence, decision forums, escalation paths, and execution standards.
- Translate strategic objectives and deal commitments into clear execution plans with defined milestones, owners, dependencies, and decision points.
- Proactively identify delivery risks, constraints, and misalignment, and drive timely resolution with appropriate escalation and tradeoff framing.
- Enable effective executive decision-making through concise, executive-ready communication on progress, risks, and required actions.
- Drive consistency and repeatability in how PayPal delivers complex deals, creating scalable execution patterns for future lighthouse partnerships.
- Hold teams accountable to outcomes, timelines, and quality, while maintaining strong cross-functional relationships and momentum.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in strategic initiatives, enterprise program leadership, management consulting, or complex delivery roles with increasing scope and accountability.
- Experience in payments or fintech required
- Experience managing/growing organizations of 20+ people, either directly or through layered leadership
- Proven track record delivering large-scale, cross-functional initiatives with executive visibility and material business impact.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and align senior leaders in highly matrixed organizations without direct authority.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complexity into clear, actionable insights for executive audiences.
- Strong business judgment and comfort operating in regulated, platform-scale environments such as payments, fintech, marketplaces, or large technology organizations.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree strongly preferred.
