Your Role And Responsibilities
As a Procurement Sourcing Professional, you will provide sourcing support to all IBM internal and external clients, covering all sourcing and delivery needs. This role involves executing global procurement strategic sourcing strategies and requires a varying degree of sourcing knowledge, from end-to-end sourcing and procurement practice to deep subject matter expertise in commodity sourcing. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Execute Sourcing Strategies: Apply procurement business skills and deeper procurement sourcing skills to deliver high-quality and timely deliveries, ensuring cost-effectiveness and auditability.
- Manage Client Experience: Understand client needs and priorities, manage expectations, and communicate effectively to ensure best possible outcomes, utilizing strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analyze Market Data: Benchmark and analyze market data to evaluate supplier possibilities, leveraging cognitive tools such as Supplier IQ to drive informed decision-making.
- Develop Sourcing Documentation: Create clear and structured documentation, including RFx process execution, to ensure good business controls and audit readiness.
- Collaborate with Suppliers: Build and maintain supplier relationships, educating suppliers on IBM policies and practices, and ensuring compliance with the IBM Global Procurement Blue Book.
Required Technical And Professional Expertise
- Sourcing Knowledge: Exposure to end-to-end sourcing and procurement practices, with a good understanding of the 7 steps to strategic sourcing and commodity sourcing principles.
- Procurement Business Skills: Experience working with procurement business skills, including executing global procurement strategic sourcing strategies and managing supplier relationships.
- Analytic Skills: Exposure to analyzing market data, benchmarking, and evaluating supplier possibilities using cognitive tools such as Supplier IQ.
- Sourcing Documentation: Experience creating clear and structured documentation, including RFx process execution, to ensure good business controls and audit readiness.
- Commodity and Supplier Knowledge: Exposure to building and executing new sourcing strategies, requiring knowledge of commodities and suppliers involved.
