The Operations team is the essential ‘cog that turns the wheel’, driving the execution of initiatives and ensuring things happen across the business. Working in close alignment with SRTA Operations Leadership, their paramount ability to collaborate with a wide array of stakeholders – including HR, Finance, QRM, C&M, RM, all business support functions, practitioners, and partners – is fundamental to achieving both business and firm-wide objectives.
This role is varied and dynamic, aligned to our key priorities and strategy. However, typical duties you would expect include:
- Strategy Development & Implementation: Working with the COO/Director of Operations and business unit lead partner to execute operational plans to support and enable the broader strategy of the business and identify and lead strategic initiatives and projects across the business
- Coordination and Governance: Overseeing and coordinating all business support functions (i.e. HR, Finance, Resource Management, Learning, IT and others) centrally to ensure prioritisation and effective implementation. This includes providing support on governance, systems, processes and infrastructure that support the effective running of the business.
- Financial Planning & Management: Driving optimal financial performance of the business by providing oversight of key financial processes including monthly / long-term / in-year planning / forecasting and financial reporting / analysis.
- Performance Management & Analysis: Supporting on optimising key commercial drivers of financial performance (including resource efficiency, delivery model usage and pricing approaches) within the business.
- Operating Model & People Management: Overseeing and providing critical input into business shape and recruitment. Supporting the development and execution of retention and engagement strategies and leading on reward decisions.
- Risk Management: Proactively identifying and assessing operational risks, developing, and implementing mitigation strategies to minimise potential disruptions
- Daily Operations: Overseeing daily operations to ensure the smooth and efficient running of all functions within your area of responsibility, driving process improvement and optimisation. This includes assisting with ad-hoc tasks from the Lead Partner/COO/Director of Operations.
- Communication & Change Management : Act as champion for key change management projects for successful rollout of Firmwide initiatives, as well as developing and executing communication plans to cascade firm-wide policies and procedures and organising relevant events.
Essential:
Experience of Operational and Financial Management (or equivalent) in a large organisation is required. Operational experience is an advantage but not required. Experience of data analysis (or equivalent). A track record of efficiently and on a timely basis, managing several workstreams in a fast-paced environment. You should be comfortable working with large amounts of data and have very strong attention to detail. Strong, confident, mature and persuasive communicator who can communicate with stakeholders across the wider business at a multitude of seniorities, including ability to robustly challenge and deliver or support in the delivery of key messages Experience in delivering within strict deadlines and to budget whilst managing conflicting workloads and priorities. Able to work effectively with key stakeholders, senior management teams and partners within the business unit, wider SRTA and other internal functions. Strong Microsoft Office skills, notably PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, LOOKUPS, nested formula) as a minimum.
