JOB DESCRIPTION
Position: Chief Finance Officer
Mariampur Hospital – Kanpur
Role Purpose
To lead the finance, procurement, key hospital projects and legal functions of the hospital. Responsible for the overall financial health of the organization, ensuring financial stability and driving cost-effective practices. As a key member of the senior leadership team, you will collaborate closely with other senior leaders to drive organisational excellence while always keeping a patient-centric approach at the forefront.
Responsibilities:
Finance:
- Develop and integrate Financial systems with the HIMS system.
- Partner with department heads to develop and monitor departmental budgets for 2025-26.
- Automate Bill Processing for Procurement
- Ensure the completion of the Fixed Assets Records Project.
- Develop a dashboard for Key Indicators for the Hospital
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external agencies i.e. financial institutions, auditors etc.
- Responsible for delivery by the Finance team of all aspects of the finance department, including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, TPA, treasury, donor reporting and cash flow management.
- Ensure the proper accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for cost improvement.

- Implement strategies to optimize resource allocation and cost control.
- Manage and mentor the finance department team, fostering a culture of professionalism and continuous improvement.
- Stay up-to-date on healthcare finance trends and regulations.
Procurement:
- Streamline procurement processes and logistics and oversee vendor management.
- Ensure optimum inventory levels, minimize stock outs, and reduce wastage.
Projects:
- Overall responsibility for defining project scope, budget, monitoring project progress, managing project risks to ensure that all project outputs meet the defined requirements.
Legal:
- Ensure legal compliance across all aspects of hospital operations.
- Identify legal risks and implement preventive measures
People & Team:
- Comprehensive assessment of the finance team's strengths, weaknesses, skills, and knowledge gaps. (Best person for the job)
- Enhance collaboration and communication across peers and within the function
- Develop a coaching and mentoring plan to address individual development needs within the finance team.
- Improve morale within the Finance team
Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) with 15+ years of experience in a leadership role preferable within a healthcare finance setting.
- Experience in overseeing Procurement, Information Technology and Legal.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting.
Competencies required:
Knowledge
- In-depth knowledge of Indian accounting standards and healthcare financial regulations.
- Sound knowledge of accounting fundamentals

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
