Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Gem Cutter located in Los Angeles, CA. The Gem Cutter will be tasked with cutting, shaping, and polishing gemstones with precision and artistry, adhering to the brand’s high standards of craftsmanship. Responsibilities include evaluating raw gemstones, determining optimal cuts, operating specialized machinery, and ensuring each gemstone is cut to enhance its natural beauty and value. Collaboration with the design and production teams will be key to ensuring seamless integration into jewelry pieces.
Qualifications
- Expertise in gem cutting, shaping, polishing, and the ability to handle complex designs with attention to detail
- Proficiency in the operation and maintenance of gemstone cutting equipment and tools
- Strong understanding of gemstone properties, grading, and optimal cutting techniques
- Ability to collaborate effectively with design and production teams, as well as problem-solving abilities for intricate projects
- Exceptional craftsmanship standards and a passion for aesthetics and luxury goods
- Prior experience in jewelry or luxury goods industry is a significant advantage
- Willingness to work on-site in Los Angeles, CA
