SafeWork NSW is the state's workplace health and safety regulator. Our focus is to protect NSW workers by preventing and reducing work related fatalities, serious injuries, and illnesses by securing compliance with work health and safety and associated legislation.
About the role:
We're looking for a proactive and organised Business Operations Coordinator to help keep our operations running smoothly and to agreed standards. In this role, you'll oversee and deliver high‑quality business, administrative and support services that enable efficient day‑to‑day operations across the division. The position coordinates fleet, uniform and body worn video cameras end-to-end processes for SafeWork NSW staff liaising with multiple stakeholders and analysing process and system improvements. The role requires the movement of motor vehicles, mostly from the Parramatta office.
You will:
- Work predominantly in fleet management and fleet-based IT programs.
- Coordinate and oversee business, administrative and support services to meet operational needs.
- Prepare accurate, high‑quality documents that meet organisational standards and deadlines.
- Manage complex or sensitive enquiries, including escalations, ensuring issues are resolved effectively.
- Review, improve and implement administrative systems, processes and policies to maintain compliance and best practice.
- Collect, analyse and report on business unit performance data, recommending improvements in efficiency, cost management and service delivery.
- Coach staff on policies, procedures and business systems to build capability and support consistent operations.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders through effective communication and collaboration.
- Stay across relevant policies, trends and challenges to identify innovative solutions and contribute to a best practice business support function.

About You:
You'll bring:
- Strong coordination and organisational skills, with experience delivering high‑quality support in complex or fast‑paced environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive matters and engage confidently with stakeholders.
- A continuous improvement mindset and the ability to identify and implement practical process enhancements.
- Solid capability with business systems and reporting, along with the ability to coach others.
- Sound judgement, discretion and a customer‑centric approach to your work.
- Previous demonstrated experience in fleet coordination.
This role also requires a valid Australian Class C Driver's Licence.
