F5’s Global Deal Desk plays a critical role in enabling the global sales organization to structure profitable, compliant, and scalable deals. The Manager, Global Deal Desk is responsible for leading a team that supports complex deal structuring, pricing governance, and contract approvals across the business.
This role partners closely with Sales, Finance, Legal, Product Marketing, and Sales Operations to ensure deal structures align with company policies, revenue goals, and long-term pricing strategy. The manager will drive operational excellence across the deal review process, improve analytical insights, and accelerate deal execution while maintaining compliance and profitability.
The ideal candidate brings strong commercial judgment, analytical thinking, and leadership skills, with the ability to navigate complex deal scenarios and guide cross-functional stakeholders through effective decision making.
Primary Responsibilities
Deal Strategy & Execution
- Lead the Global Deal Desk function to ensure accurate and timely support for sales contract reviews and approvals.
- Guide sales teams on deal structuring, pricing strategy, discounting frameworks, and commercial terms.
- Review and approve complex deals to ensure compliance with company policies, pricing guidelines, and revenue recognition requirements.
- Identify financial and contractual risks and recommend solutions that balance deal velocity with profitability.
- Act as a trusted advisor to Sales leadership on complex deal scenarios and strategic opportunities.
Deal Desk Operations & Process Excellence
- Develop and implement Deal Desk processes, tools, and best practices to improve operational efficiency and consistency globally.
- Standardize deal review and approval processes across regions and teams.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on deal velocity, pricing discipline, and operational effectiveness.
- Build scalable frameworks for deal structuring and pricing governance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Sales, Finance, Legal, Product Marketing, and Sales Operations to resolve deal issues and optimize contract structures.
- Support RFP/RFQ responses and complex customer contract negotiations when required.
- Collaborate with Finance and Analytics teams to track deal performance, pricing effectiveness, and discount trends.
- Align pricing and deal strategy with go-to-market initiatives and product strategies.
Analytics & Reporting
- Analyze deal performance, pricing trends, and discounting behavior to inform business strategy.
- Develop reporting and dashboards to monitor deal desk performance and key metrics.
- Provide insights to leadership on deal trends, risks, and opportunities to improve profitability.
Team Leadership
- Manage and develop a team of Deal Desk professionals.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and training on deal structuring, pricing strategies, and approval processes.
- Foster a high-performance team environment focused on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Support hiring, onboarding, and development of Deal Desk staff.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong experience structuring and negotiating complex commercial deals.
- Deep understanding of pricing strategy, discounting frameworks, and deal approval processes.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
- Ability to evaluate risk while balancing revenue growth and deal velocity.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence senior leadership.
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
- Advanced Excel and business analytics skills; experience with CRM and sales systems preferred.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- 7+ years of experience in deal desk, sales operations, finance, or pricing roles within a technology or software company.
- 2+ years of experience managing or leading teams preferred.
- Experience supporting complex enterprise sales environments.

The annual base pay for this position is: $126,400.00 - $189,600.00
F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5’s differing products, industries, and lines of business.
