The CFO will be a key member of the leadership team. Responsible for driving financial strategy and ensuring expert financial management to support the company's growth and value goals. This role encompasses oversight of Reporting, Accounting, Planning and Analysis and Cash Management functions.
The CFO will be an integral part of the executive team. Ideal candidate should possess strong operational and strategic expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy and Leadership:
- Evaluate and recommend opportunities for cost optimization, revenue growth, and operational efficiency improvements.
Financial Reporting and Compliance:
- Oversee the preparation of timely and accurate financial statements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, in compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
General Accounting and Cash Management:
- Lead the General Accounting function, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
- Manage cash flow to ensure the company’s liquidity needs are met, while optimizing working capital and minimizing borrowing costs.
Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A):
- Develop and manage financial models, budgets, and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
- Prepare and present detailed financial analysis and dashboards to the leadership team and Board.
Mergers and Acquisitions:
- Conduct due diligence, financial modeling, and integration planning for potential acquisitions or mergers, as well as capital investments.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Build and lead a high-performing finance team, ensuring proper training, development, and succession planning.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the Finance department.
Qualifications and Experience:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, CPA, MBA, or 10+ years of financial leadership experience strongly preferred.
- Experience as a CFO, VP of Finance, or similar role in a mid-sized organization.
- Proven track record in strategic planning, financial analysis, and executing mergers and acquisitions.
- Expertise in financial reporting, compliance, and cash management within a complex, multi-entity environment.
Preferred:
- Experience in the Construction or related fields is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Hands-on experience with financial systems, ERP platforms, and business intelligence tools.
