Umbrella Entertainment is one of Australia’s leading independent film distribution companies, delivering premium film and television content across cinemas, home entertainment and digital platforms.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Operations Manager to work closely with the Managing Director and General Manager, ensuring the business runs smoothly and operational priorities are executed effectively.
This role sits at the centre of the organisation, coordinating operations across teams, managing key suppliers, supporting HR processes and ensuring internal systems and workflows operate efficiently.
This position suits a mature, commercially minded business operator who is comfortable working closely with senior leadership in a fast-moving environment and brings the judgement, professionalism and emotional intelligence required to keep a business operating effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate company strategy into clear operational plans and track performance across departments
- Oversee day-to-day business operations and resolve operational issues as they arise
- Coordinate activities across teams including operations, marketing, acquisitions and delivery
- Manage supplier and vendor relationships including logistics and service providers
- Oversee IT systems and external technology vendors to ensure business continuity
- Support HR processes including recruitment coordination, onboarding and staff documentation
- Improve internal processes, systems and reporting rhythms across the organisation
- Provide operational reporting and insights to the Managing Director and General Manager
Experience
- 7-10+ years experience in operations, business management or organisational leadership roles
- Experience supporting senior leadership in medium-sized or growing organisations
- Proven ability to coordinate multiple departments and operational priorities
- Experience managing vendors, suppliers and operational budgets
- Strong understanding of HR processes and business systems
- Experience within media, film or creative industries highly regarded
