We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join a dynamic team as a pivotal Deal Desk professional. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping complex transactions, ensuring profitability and compliance, and directly contributing to the effectiveness and productivity of the sales organization. Your expertise will directly impact revenue maximization and streamline the deal approval process, accelerating critical closures and fostering strong customer relationships.
What You’ll Do
- Structure profitable and compliant transactions that effectively address diverse internal customer needs.
- Act in a fiduciary capacity, managing first-line approvals within the deal approval process, including strategic deal structuring.
- Collaborate closely with sales teams to identify critical customer business issues and assist in crafting transactions that align with both internal requirements and customer needs.
- Manage the day-to-day deal approval process, meeting with sales teams and articulating deal value consistently through documented business cases to cross-functional stakeholders.
- Draft and certify customer contracts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to policy.
- Perform to specified metrics and service levels, demonstrating consistent high performance.
- Ensure strict adherence to and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Engage with a wide range of internal stakeholders, including Legal, Sales Operations, Sales Finance, Revenue Assurance, Business Units, Order Management, and Credit, fostering strong collaborative relationships.
- Regularly communicate with sales teams to ensure consistent application of process and policy.
- Verify that all transactions comply with internal revenue recognition policies and operational guidelines.
- Prepare in-quarter deal status reports and communications for management.
- Proactively evaluate current processes and offer innovative recommendations for areas of improvement.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in FP&A, Sales Finance, Sales Operations, or a Deal Desk function.
- Demonstrated experience drafting and analyzing binding sales agreements.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Exceptional capability to build and maintain strong working relationships with diverse internal stakeholders.
- Experience structuring multi-element contracts, including subscriptions, licenses, services, and support components.
- Proficiency in software revenue recognition accounting, including relevant standards like SOP 97-2.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely.
