Overview
The Sales Operations Manager is focused on improving the efficiency and effectiveness of Spear Bio's sales activity, and was just created due to growth of our Commercial organization. You will lead the development of systems, tools, and processes that support the sales team in achieving growth targets. This role requires analytical rigor to manage data, along with the ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder contract processes and CRM (i.e. Salesforce) platform.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Process Management & Strategy:
- Organize and coordinate lead and opportunity funnel and forecasting processes to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Support purchase order processing and revenue recognition in collaboration with finance and operations team.
- Coordinate with Operations and Finance on fulfillment of orders.
- Identify sales process bottlenecks and implement solutions to increase productivity.
CRM & Technology Management
Act as an admin for CRM systems (i.e. Salesforce, HubSpot), ensuring data integrity, usability, and training for the sales team and support day-to-day CRM administration including user setup, permission sets, roles, profiles, and basic configurations
- Manage the commercial tech stack, integrating tools to automate manual tasks.
- Ensure data integrity across Accounts, Contacts, Leads, Opportunities, Quotes, and custom objects
- Maintain key HubSpot / SFDC Integration requirements including field mapping and data reconciliation
- Monitor and maintain inbound lead flow and marketing-to-sales integration and assignment of sales qualified leads.
Reporting & Analytics
- Support Sales and Marketing Leadership reporting and analytics needs, generating reports and presentations on status of sales and marketing funnel.
- Create dashboards and reports in Excel, CRM, or other tools to track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as revenue, pipeline health, and win/loss rates.
- Analyze market trends and customer insights to guide strategy.
- Create, curate, and track target account lists in support of sales and marketing initiatives including product launches and conference activities.
Contracts
- Support the sales contract lifecycle, including drafting, reviewing, editing, and documenting quotations, services agreements, and Master service agreements in coordination with Sales Leadership and legal consul.
- Support strategic contract lifecycle, including template management, reviewing, editing, and documenting NDAs, MTAs, and Collaboration Agreements with Strategic Customers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Information Systems, Analytics, or a closely related discipline
- 2–5 years of experience in a Commercial/Sales Operations role with Salesforce and HubSpot experience
- Hands-on experience administering Salesforce and solid grasp of CRM fundamentals, including lead management, opportunity progression, and funnel performance metrics
- Strong analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and a proactive approach to solving operational issues
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving environment and collaborate with multiple teams
- Experience managing contracts and interacting with legal.
