Role Overview
The Business Operations Manager – Strategic Programs will drive the execution of cross-functional operational initiatives across the organization. This role acts as a central execution partner to leadership and department heads, ensuring that strategic initiatives, operational programs, and vendor-driven engagements are planned, coordinated, and delivered successfully.
The role involves understanding business requirements, defining execution plans, coordinating internal teams and external vendors, and ensuring initiatives are delivered on time and aligned with organizational objectives. The position requires strong problem-solving abilities, stakeholder coordination, and the ability to translate business needs into structured execution plans.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Program Execution
- Lead and execute cross-functional initiatives that require coordination across multiple departments.
- Translate leadership and departmental requirements into clear execution plans and deliverables.
- Drive end-to-end execution of operational programs and strategic initiatives.
- Identify dependencies, manage risks, and ensure timely delivery of initiatives.
Vendor & Partner Engagement
- Identify when external vendors, consultants, or service providers are required to execute initiatives.
- Source and evaluate vendors aligned with project requirements.
- Coordinate vendor discussions, proposals, and negotiations.
- Manage vendor onboarding and engagement processes.
- Monitor vendor performance during project delivery and ensure expected outcomes are achieved.
Cross-Department Coordination
- Work closely with department heads, SMEs, and leadership to understand business requirements.
- Facilitate collaboration between internal teams and external partners during project execution.
- Ensure alignment across departments and remove execution bottlenecks.
Operational Planning & Problem Solving
- Break down complex operational challenges into actionable execution plans.
- Proactively identify operational gaps and propose solutions.
- Ensure operational initiatives are aligned with business priorities.
Initiative Monitoring & Reporting
- Track initiative progress, timelines, and outcomes.
- Provide regular updates to leadership on operational initiatives and vendor engagements.
- Ensure operational documentation and execution plans are well maintained.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve internal operational processes.
- Build structured workflows for vendor engagement and operational execution.
- Contribute to building scalable operational frameworks for the organization.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in business operations, program management, consulting, or operational strategy roles.
- Strong experience coordinating cross-functional projects or initiatives.
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into execution plans.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in technology, SaaS, consulting, or fast-growing startup environments.
- Exposure to vendor sourcing, consulting engagements, or compliance-driven initiatives.
- Familiarity with operational frameworks, program management methodologies, or project management tools.
- Experience working closely with leadership teams on strategic initiatives.
