About The Role
The Business Operations Manager is a critical conduit between the Office of the CEO (OCEO) and the organization's execution. Reporting directly to the Chief of Staff (CoS), you will be responsible for supporting the Chief of Staff in their day to day, by managing and tracking priorities. This role is intended for a professional with a clear career trajectory toward becoming a Chief of Staff. You will ensure that no detail is missed, "connecting the dots" across global stakeholders, and providing the CoS with the radical transparency needed to lead the enterprise.
You Will
- Support, manage and track the CoS and OCEO priorities, key business projects, ensuring all milestones are met, documented, and followed through to completion.
- Maintain and continuously improve tools, trackers, and dashboards that give the Chief of Staff clear visibility into workstreams, risks, and deadlines (e.g., project plans, quarterly calendars, reporting trackers)
- Demonstrate solid understanding of Dow Jones's core business and strategic plan.
- Act as a bridge between the CoS and various departments (Finance, Product, HR, Sales), ensuring cross-functional alignment and identifying interdependencies that others might miss.
- Rapidly pivot to handle high-priority, "fire-drill" tasks as they arise, delivering high-quality outputs under tight deadlines.
- Represent the CoS in communications with senior leaders, ensuring that requests for information or action are handled with professionalism and urgency.
- Prepare briefing materials, agendas, and post-meeting action items for critical executive sessions to ensure maximum ROI on the CoS' time.
- Standardize procedures and documentation to ensure consistency across teams.
You Have
- 7+ years of experience in Business Operations, Management Consulting, or a high-level Project Management Office (PMO).
- Bachelor's degree preferred; MBA or equivalent experience is a plus.
- Must be based in NYC and able to work from the corporate office 5 days a week to ensure real-time collaboration with the Executive team.
- Mastery of project management tools (Wrike or similar), and executive-level presentation skills (Google Slides).
