About Hickory
Hickory partners with craftsmen and business owners who build their reputations one job, one hard-earned milestone at a time. We're the trusted high-end residential HVAC provider, growing one zone at a time across an expanding family of brands with over 300 local employees.
Our core values: put employees first, treat everybody with respect, delight customers, raise the bar, and get stuff done.
The Role
Sales is the engine of our business. This role keeps it running: lead routing, quoting workflows, pricebook accuracy, and the automations that keep leads, quotes, and follow-ups moving.
You'll be inside our core systems every day: ServiceTitan, Pipedrive, and the automations that connect them. Configuring, maintaining, reporting, fixing what breaks, building what's missing. Each brand has its own way of doing things. Your job is to bring our Hickory foundations and best practices to new brands and to build systems that ensure ongoing adherence at existing brands, while respecting what’s already working.
This is a hands-on execution role. We’re building this as we go and you’ll shape our best practices by building them. Your value comes from being in the systems doing the work. You use AI tools to move faster, whether that means cleaning data, drafting automations, or figuring out an unfamiliar system.
We'll measure success by lead response time, quote turnaround, pricing accuracy, and how much manual work you can take out of the process.
What You'll Do
- Pricebook management: Build, maintain, and standardize ServiceTitan pricebooks across brands. Keep pricing accurate, margins where they should be, and task groups organized.
- CRM administration: Own day-to-day configuration of both ServiceTitan and Pipedrive. Business units, job types, campaigns, deal stages, lead routing, pipeline views, and reporting dashboards.
- Data quality: Clean up messy data from acquisitions. Maintain consistent naming conventions, lead source tracking, and campaign attribution across brands and systems.
- Reporting: Pull and deliver the reports that show what's working: lead conversion, quote turnaround, pricing accuracy, revenue per call. Build dashboards that people actually use.
- Workflow automation: Set up and maintain automations for lead routing, follow-up sequences, estimate reminders, and membership renewals using Zapier, native platform tools, Claude Code or other AI-assisted scripting.
- Brand onboarding support: When Hickory acquires a new brand, help migrate their systems, map their pricebook to Hickory standards, and train their team.
- Cross-functional coordination: Work with operations, dispatch, accounting, and marketing to make sure the systems match what's actually happening in the field.
What You Bring
- 2-4 years in an operational or analytical role: sales operations, management consulting, revenue operations, CRM administration, data coordination, or similar hands-on work
- Experience with CRMs (ServiceTitan, Pipedrive, Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar).
- Good with spreadsheets and databases. You can do an XLOOKUP or INDEX MATCH.
- You get a weird satisfaction in catching a small mistake, like a $0.50 pricing error in a list of 400 line items, and build processes to catch those issues
- You already use AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT, or Copilot to get real work done faster
- You can context-switch between three different brands in a morning without losing track of where you left off
- You are a clear communicator who can explain system changes to non-technical managers
Bonus Points
- HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or home services industry background
- Experience at a multi-brand or multi-location company
- ServiceTitan experience will be a big plus
- You've worked on a CRM data migration or system onboarding before
- Familiarity with Zapier, Make, or other workflow automation platforms
Benefits
- Health, dental, and vision insurance
- 401(k) retirement plan with company match
- PTO
- Career growth as we grow the business
