Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Overview
Our client is a rapidly growing, multi-unit franchisor backed by institutional capital. They are seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead all financial functions and support continued expansion through new unit development, franchising, and acquisitions.
Position Summary
The CFO will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for financial strategy, reporting, capital planning, and operational finance. This individual will partner closely with ownership and senior leadership to drive profitability, scalability, and long-term value creation.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead all financial operations including FP&A, accounting, treasury, tax, and reporting
• Build and oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes
• Deliver timely and accurate financial reporting to executive leadership, board, and investors
• Drive KPI tracking across franchise and corporate locations including AUV, margins, labor, and EBITDA
• Partner with operations to improve unit economics, cost controls, and overall profitability
• Support franchise growth through new unit development, site selection modeling, and ROI analysis
• Lead M&A initiatives including diligence, integration, and financial modeling
• Manage relationships with lenders, investors, and external partners
• Ensure strong internal controls, compliance, and audit readiness
• Build and develop a high-performing finance team
Qualifications
• 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, with prior CFO or VP Finance experience preferred
• Strong background in franchising, multi-unit retail, or restaurant environments
• Finance-focused background (FP&A, strategy, or investment side) preferred over pure accounting profile
• Experience working with private equity or institutional ownership
• Proven ability to scale businesses, improve EBITDA, and drive financial performance
• Strong modeling, analytical, and strategic thinking skills
• Experience leading M&A, capital raises, or debt structuring is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA is a plus
