ABOUT THE BUSINESS
I'm Patricia Bright β entrepreneur, content creator, and founder of The Break, a platform dedicated to financial and wellness empowerment for women.
I started my career at Merrill Lynch before becoming the first Black British female creator to reach 1 million YouTube subscribers. Today the business spans:
- A content business with 5M+ followers across YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok
- The Break β a channel and platform for financial empowerment
- Brand partnerships with L'OrΓ©al, Dior, Diet Coke, MAC, and others
- A published book (Heart & Hustle), podcast, and speaking career
- An active product pipeline β digital and physical
THE ROLE
This is a hybrid Chief of Staff and Head of Operations. You report directly to me and sit at the centre of everything.
You will know what every stakeholder is working on, what every, what content is going out and when, and what the numbers look like. You manage the people, own the processes, and are my proxy in rooms I am not in.
On the operations side you will own our ecommerce and product infrastructures - Shopify, suppliers, fulfilment, digital products. On the Chief of Staff side you will run the business calendar, manage stakeholders, and make sure nothing falls through the cracks.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN
Business oversight
- Full visibility of every workstream at all times
- Weekly operating rhythm and quarterly planning with me
- Protecting my time β filtering what reaches me and handling everything else
People and freelancer management
- Day-to-day management of all freelancers contractors and agents
- Setting briefs, deadlines, and quality standards β and holding people to them
- Sourcing and onboarding new freelancers as the business grows
Content and brand partnerships
- Overseeing the content schedule, knowing what goes out, when, and to which partner
- Being the main operational contact for agents
Product and ecommerce
- Owning and operating the Shopify store: manage, optimise
- Leading physical and digital product launches - exciting to say we are moving into stationary & beyond
- Managing suppliers, fulfilment, and the ecommerce P&L
Operations and finance
- Invoicing, payment tracking, and cash flow visibility
- Contracts and supplier agreements β executed and filed correctly
- Building systems that allow the business to scale
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
You will have:
- Hands-on Shopify experience β you can build and run a store, not just describe one
- A track record of launching physical and/or digital products
- Experience managing multiple freelancers simultaneously to a high standard
- Strong stakeholder management across brands, agencies, and partners
- A genuine understanding of how a creator business works
- Commercial sharpness, exceptional organisation, and complete discretion
- High standards β you care about quality and hold others to the same bar
A bonus if you have experience in beauty, lifestyle, or the creator economy, or have worked closely with a founder or public-facing talent.
