Position Summary:
The Business Applications Integration Engineer is responsible for technical ownership of integrations between key enterprise systems including ERP, HCM, and ITSM. This role partners with the implementation partner to co-design, build/configure, test, document, monitor, and support interfaces so that integrations are stable, auditable, and supportable long-term. This role operates with increasing independence, taking technical ownership of assigned integrations while working collaboratively with senior engineers and leadership on complex or cross-system designs.
Compensation is dependent on skills and experience.
Your contribution to the team includes:
- Develop Partner with business stakeholders to define integration requirements, mappings, schedules, error handling, reconciliation, and operational ownership.
- Co-create integration design documents/specifications for each interface and maintain version control through change processes.
- Build/configure integrations using the agreed integration approach (API/file/middleware), ensuring secure connectivity and reliable execution.
- Develop integration test cases and support SIT/UAT execution; validate end-to-end results with Finance/Procurement stakeholders.
- Implement monitoring/alerting, retries, and operational runbooks; drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for integration incidents.
- Ensure reconciliation controls exist (counts/totals/hash checks where appropriate) and are operationalized.
- Ensure integrations meet internal control expectations: traceability, repeatability, audit logs, and documented ownership for corrections.
- Maintain durable documentation: specs, mappings, error catalogs, restart procedures, and handoff notes to system support.
- Monitor existing integrations to ensure ongoing stability and performance, proactively identifying and resolving any issues that arise. Perform regular reviews of integration logs, error reports, and reconciliation results to detect anomalies and implement corrective measures promptly. Collaborate with IT and business teams to manage updates, troubleshoot incidents, and apply patches or enhancements as necessary, maintaining thorough documentation of all support activities.
- Provide on-call and after-hours support for integration-related issues as needed, ensuring timely resolution of critical incidents and maintaining system availability outside regular business hours.

- Attend staff meetings, in-service meetings and participate in agency committees and task force activities as required.
Must have’s you’ll need to be successful:
- High School Diploma/GED, and three (3) to five (5) years experience building and supporting integrations across enterprise applications (APIs, file transfers, and/or middleware) and ability to produce technical specifications and mapping documents and translate functional requirements into technical designs required or equivalent combination of education and experience. Healthcare integration experience (ERP EHR/clinical billing ecosystems) and/or experience integrating workflow platforms with financial systems preferred.
- Experience implementing monitoring, alerting, and reconciliation controls for interfaces preferred.
- Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) / OCI Application Integration Professional certification preferred.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and/or ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) preferred.
- Experience integrating UKG platforms preferred.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write reports, complex papers, speeches, and articles using original or innovative techniques or style. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, clients, external groups, and/or board of directors.
- Knowledge of computer equipment and basic level of Word, Excel, and Outlook required. Strong troubleshooting skills across data, authentication, scheduling, and application behaviors required.
- Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud integration patterns or comparable ERP integration experience preferred. Experience with UKG HCM system integrations preferred. Experience with ServiceNow ITSM system integrations preferred.
- Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Work situations are vaguely defined, often unprecedented, and unique in character. Problems are very complex, abstract, conceptual, and long-term in nature. There is a continual requirement for strategic, innovative thought and synthesis of information as it pertains to work situations. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot across people/process/technology and drive issues to closure with clear documentation required.
Proof of vaccination for COVID-19 is required, prior to start. HealthPoint does not accept the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine as proof of vaccination. If you have received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, we ask that you provide documentation demonstrating proof of an alternate COVID vaccine or vaccine series. All new employees are also required to show proof of immunizations and/or immunity to MMR (measles, mumps, rubella), Varicella, annual Influenza and TB QuantiFERON Gold Titer. Additionally, if you work in a HealthPoint clinic, Tdap (within last 10 years) is required. Hepatitis B. is required for clinical employees with potential exposure to blood/blood products. All immunizations are a condition of employment. Upon hire, employees must provide proof of their immunizations and/or immune titer results prior to starting or no later than their fifth (5) business day of employment.
