We are looking for a strategic and results-driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our leadership team in Columbus, OH. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of the organization while ensuring operational excellence and compliance. This role requires a forward-thinking leader with expertise in financial strategy, corporate governance, and organizational growth.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the organization's long-term goals and expansion plans.
• Lead efforts to identify market opportunities, enhance operational efficiency, and mitigate financial risks.
• Serve as the primary liaison with external financial partners, including banks, lenders, and investors, to secure funding and structure capital.
• Oversee all accounting and finance functions, including financial planning and analysis (FP& A), financial reporting, treasury management, payroll, and tax strategy.
• Provide guidance to individual school leaders on optimizing budgets, understanding financial metrics, and maintaining fiscal health.
• Take ownership of the annual audit process, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timely submission.
• Implement and maintain operational best practices across all departments to drive efficiency and adherence to financial standards.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and state reporting requirements, maintaining flawless adherence to legal standards.
• Manage legal affairs, vendor relationships, and corporate governance to mitigate risks and support organizational goals.
• Oversee IT strategy and infrastructure, ensuring security, scalability, and alignment with operational and academic needs
• Proven experience as a CFO or in a senior financial leadership role, preferably in a multi-unit or educational organization.
• Strong expertise in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to secure and manage capital funding and maintain relationships with external financial partners.
• Proficient in overseeing audits, compliance processes, and corporate governance.
• Experience with process improvement initiatives, including the integration of automation and AI technologies.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and state reporting processes.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to coach and guide team members.
• Strategic mindset with a focus on organizational growth and operational excellence.
