Robert Half Management Resources is currently looking for an experience real estate industry senior Finance resource or CFO to support a client in the Columbus, OH area. Client is open to a fractional resource or someone interested in potential contract to hire. Role will provide full-range of Finance support to a real estate management and development company. This role will be both hands on and strategic, providing key financial insights to the management team while also being hands-on building excel models, budgets, and forecasts. Worksite for this role is 100% onsite at the client's location on the east side of Columbus.
Responsibilities:
• Manage month-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable operations to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Assist in gathering financial information for tax filings and ensure timely completion of Form 1099s.
• Maintain compliance with HR policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to regulations.
• Handle common area maintenance (CAM) passthroughs and ensure proper financial tracking.
• Provide financial restructuring and organizational support as needed to optimize company operations.
• Support underwriting functions by assessing risks and analyzing the financial feasibility of real estate investments.
• Collaborate with the President and Accounting Supervisor to manage financial activities across multiple properties/entities.
• Ensure accurate and up-to-date financial reporting and cash flow analysis.
• Utilize business systems effectively to streamline financial processes, with flexibility to learn new systems like Skyline.
• At least 10 years of experience in financial management, preferably within real estate or property management.
• Strong expertise in cash flow analysis, capital management, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in month-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable operations.
• Familiarity with tax filings, including income tax returns and Form 1099 preparation.
• Ability to manage financial activities across multiple entities and ensure accurate reporting.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working closely with a small team.
