Role Overview
They are seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join a Human Resources team responsible for learning operations and workforce development. This position plays an important role in supporting the delivery and tracking of training initiatives across the organisation.
You will contribute to the effective rollout of learning programmes, ensure adherence to governance standards, and support the optimisation of digital learning platforms. The role also involves working closely with stakeholders to improve processes and enhance system capabilities.
This is a hybrid position requiring regular in-office attendance during the workweek, with opportunities available across several office locations. Relocation support may be offered.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess business requirements and translate them into system and technical specifications
- Work with stakeholders to identify opportunities for improving application functionality and business processes
- Support the implementation, configuration, and enhancement of business systems and platforms
- Analyse and document requirements, workflows, and system behaviours
- Assist in testing, deployment, and adoption of new or updated system features
- Provide guidance and support to users, including training on system capabilities
- Investigate system issues, identify root causes, and coordinate resolutions
- Recommend improvements to reduce risk and prevent recurring issues
- Maintain an understanding of supported systems, processes, and organisational priorities
- Collaborate across teams to identify dependencies, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Ensure activities align with internal governance, risk management, and compliance standards
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Degree in a relevant discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- Around 4 years of experience in business analysis, systems support, or related IT-focused roles
- Experience working with enterprise applications and understanding system lifecycles, including testing
- Ability to document business processes, system requirements, and technical functionality
- Familiarity with risk management practices, including identifying and addressing control gaps
- Competency with standard productivity tools (e.g. Microsoft Office suite)
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience working with learning or talent management systems
- Familiarity with platforms such as Workday or similar HR systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Experience working with data and generating insights
- High attention to detail and structured approach to work
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Exposure to change management or transformation initiatives
- Background connected to military service (directly or through family) is advantageous
