Position Overview
The OEM Sales Operations Specialist will play a critical role in supporting revenue growth by optimizing sales processes, maintaining CRM integrity, and enabling OEM account success. This position is primarily focused on sales operations excellence, including pipeline management, forecasting support, purchase order management, and cross-functional coordination, while also contributing to sales efforts through pipeline management. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in structured, data-driven environments and enjoys supporting both account management and new business initiatives within the OEM channel.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a central support function for OEM Account Managers and Customers, assisting with customer inquiries, order coordination, and account-related requests
- Manage customer purchase orders (POs) end-to-end, including review for accuracy, entry into internal systems, and coordination with operations to ensure alignment on pricing, terms, and delivery schedules
- Track and reconcile POs against quotes, contracts, and forecasts to ensure consistency and prevent discrepancies
- Serve as the primary point of contact for PO-related inquiries, changes, and issue resolution
- Own CRM data accuracy and hygiene, ensuring all customer interactions, opportunities, and pipeline activity are consistently documented and up to date
- Manage and maintain pipeline visibility, including tracking deal progression, updating stages, and supporting forecast accuracy
- Support sales forecasting and reporting by analyzing demand trends, maintaining revenue data, and assisting with projections
- Coordinate quotes, proposals, and pricing documentation in alignment with internal processes and approvals
- Act as a liaison between sales, engineering, product, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of customer requirements
- Monitor purchase orders and order status, proactively communicating updates to both internal stakeholders and customers to ensure accurate fulfillment and smooth customer experience
- Identify and research potential OEM leads through industry tools, databases, and market insights
- Contribute to inside sales efforts by helping nurture early-stage opportunities and supporting pipeline generation initiatives
Qualifications & Skills
- 2+ years of experience in sales operations, inside sales, or account support, preferably within OEM or B2B manufacturing environments
- Experience in lithium batteries, energy storage, automotive, or related technical industries is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of CRM systems and sales process management
- Experience managing customer purchase orders, order tracking, or order-to-cash processes is highly preferred
- Ability to interpret and communicate technical product information and customer requirements
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and process discipline
- Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
- Experience supporting longer, more complex sales cycles is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and sales tools
- Self-starter with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
