About the Role
We are seeking a visionary, results‑driven Director of Sales Operations with a passion for leading from the front. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Sales & Operations, this role will provide strategic and operational oversight of our technical professional services business development team. You will lead a high‑performing team focused on both new business acquisition and expanding existing client relationships, playing a critical role in driving sustainable growth. Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development Leadership: Drive new business growth by identifying, qualifying, and pursuing professional services opportunities within the federal and Department of Defense (DoD) sectors.
- Strategize & Execute: Develop and execute forward‑looking business development strategies in close collaboration with executive leadership, continuously evolving our go‑to‑market approach.
- Build & Lead High-Performing Teams: Build, lead, and mentor a high‑performing business development team, ensuring productivity targets are met while fostering strong, long‑term client relationships.
- Inspire & Develop Talent: Establish a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and high performance through coaching, performance management, and leadership development.
- Executive-Level Relationship Management: Engage C‑suite executives, program leaders, and hiring authorities to deliver tailored IT and engineering professional services solutions and expand strategic partnerships.
- Federal and DoD Expertise: Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by providing expert guidance on professional services offerings aligned with the complexities and requirements of federal and DoD environments.
- Strategic Planning & Sales Enablement: Develop and execute comprehensive business development plans, partnering with Sellers and internal stakeholders on prospecting, lead generation, capture efforts, and executive‑level sales presentations.
- Market & Competitive Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, competitor offerings, and federal market dynamics to identify emerging opportunities and inform strategic decisions.
- Pipeline & Performance Management: Maintain a disciplined and transparent business development pipeline, delivering regular forecasts, performance updates, and insights to executive leadership.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Finance, Operations, and Delivery teams to ensure alignment between business development initiatives and overall organizational objectives.
Qualifications:
- Seasoned Sales Leadership: Demonstrated success in developing, selling, and managing diverse professional services solutions.
- Exceptional Communication: Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing skills that inspire action.
