The Role
As an integral member of our back-office team, the Business Operations Analyst role is well suited for someone who enjoys variety, learns quickly, and thrives in a detail-oriented environment. The ideal candidate is systems-driven, accurate, and proactive, with a passion for problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration.
Main Responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve reporting issues in collaboration with the portfolio management, accounting, operations, and systems teams
- Handle operational requests and facilitate data collection and reconciliation
- Identify, analyze, and document business and operational requirements through day-to-day collaboration with other business functions, to convert high-level business discussions into clearly defined business, functional and data requirements
- Document and analyze current-state and target-state operations workflows, including process objectives, pain points, system interactions, dependencies, and handoffs while maintaining end-to-end traceability from business requirements through design and implementation outcomes
- Design, execute, and validate test scenarios to ensure delivered solutions meet business and functional requirements
- Assist IT team with systems tech support
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Business (MIS, Accounting, Finance, Insurance) or related field
- 3+ years of experience in an operations-focused role, preferably in the financial services industry
- Strong Excel skills, especially with respect to Power Query
- Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks
- A positive, coachable attitude and eagerness to learn on the job
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a small team
- Comfortable adapting to changing priorities and managing ambiguity
Position Details
- Full-time, permanent role based in our Downtown Vancouver office, this is NOT a remote/hybrid position
- Salary range: $70,000–$90,000 annual base salary, plus benefits
- Eligible for our discretionary bonus program after 1 year of employment
