Chief Financial Officer / Head of Finance @ Venture Capital Firm
$400,000 – $600,000 total cash (~$350–450K base) + carried interest

The Role
- Own and lead fund and management company finance across the platform
- Oversee financial reporting, operations, and controls across ~40+ entities (funds, SPVs, co-invests)
- Oversee fund accounting, NAVs, waterfalls, capital activity, and investor reporting
- Partner closely with leadership on fund launches, capital formation, and LP diligence
- Serve as key point of contact for LPs, auditors, tax advisors, and fund administrators
- Own valuations (ASC 820), financial reporting, and internal controls
- Lead and develop the internal finance team
- Potential oversight of compliance (ADV, Form PF, SEC exams)
Ideal Profile
- 12–20+ years experience | Big 4 CPA + in-house VC or growth equity platform
- Prior CFO, Head of Finance, or senior finance leadership role
- CPA required | CCO experience a plus, not required
- Ok with lean environment- wearing many hats
Deep experience across:
- Fund + management company finance
- Multi-entity structures (funds, SPVs, co-invests)
- LP reporting and investor interface
- Valuations, waterfalls, fund economics
- SEC-registered adviser environment
- Proven ability to operate as a player-coach and partner to senior leadership
Compensation
- $400,000 – $600,000 total cash (~$350–450K base)
- Bonus + carried interest
- Top-of-market total comp
