OpenText Security Solutions SMB + Consumer is seeking a Senior
Sales Operations Specialist to be based in Sydney, joining our APAC & Japan Revenue Operations team.
This role will have primary ownership of Japan sales operations, serving as the operational lead for the region. The successful candidate will provide senior level, day to day support to the regional sales organization, with a strong focus on order fulfilment, pre sales operations, and operational governance specific to the Japan market.
To succeed in this role, the candidate must demonstrate the ability to operate independently, provide strategic and executional support to the Sales organization, and partner effectively with cross functional stakeholders at all levels across the global OpenText organization. This role requires strong leadership, sound judgment, and the ability to drive operational excellence within Japan.
We Are Seeking An Individual With Proven Strength In
- Owning the accuracy and integrity of account and opportunity data in Salesforce.com for Japan, proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies to ensure timely, accurate reporting and forecasting.
- Leading sales operations processes for the Japan region, including identifying opportunities for automation and driving regional process improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrating thought leadership in sales operations, influencing best practices, improving scalability, and aligning Japan operations with broader APAC and global standards.
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
- Ensure ongoing compliance with published sales, pricing, and business approval policies.
- Serve as a trusted operational partner to regional sales teams, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely, accurate, and professional manner.
- Develop and maintain strong proficiency with internal systems, including Salesforce.com and other custom-built operational tools.
- Design, build, and maintain reports and dashboards to support sales analysis, forecasting, and performance tracking, with heavy use of Excel.
- Drive operational efficiency and effectiveness by identifying gaps, risks, and systemic issues; proactively escalate and collaborate with the Team Lead to support resolution.
Required Skills And Experience
- Proven experience using Salesforce.com in a sales operations, reporting, or commercial support capacity.
- Fluent in both English and Japanese (spoken and written), with the ability to operate professionally in a bilingual business environment.
- Previous experience in Sales Operations, Sales, Order Fulfilment, or Customer Support strongly preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, formulas, data modelling, reporting); experience leveraging Microsoft Copilot or AI-enabled productivity tools is a strong advantage.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment, with a hands‑on, solutions‑oriented mindset.
- Strong relationship‑building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments and with external customers when required.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Highly self‑motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision, while exercising sound judgment and ownership.
