Indiana University Health is seeking individuals who embody these values to join our Finance leadership team in the role of Vice President – Chief Revenue Officer.
The
Vice President – Chief Revenue Officer is responsible for all revenue related processes for Indiana University Health. In this role, the Chief Revenue Officer is accountable for driving better integration and alignment between revenue related functions, including but not limited to payer and employer contracting, pricing, patient access, billing and collections, coding, HIM, charging, financial counseling and customer service, revenue optimization, collection effectiveness, government programs, government affairs, revenue management, and marketing with a goal to ensure Hoosiers have access to high value, exceptional care. This leader aims to differentiate IU Health by delivering an exceptional, personalized patient financial experience that supports care affordability and promotes increased customer loyalty.
The Chief Revenue Officer ensures that IU Health revenue strategy optimally supports the IU Health Vision and aligns with IU Health’s Values, while also driving the health system’s long-term profitability and pricing strategy that balances consumer value from a total cost of care perspective with a sustainable margin that will support IU Health's long term financial plan. The leader provides leadership and direction to generate and retain revenue across multiple channels while leading and directing financial modeling, reporting, and analysis to evaluate growth opportunities while driving IU Heath’s volume to value transformation. The Chief Revenue Officer possesses strong analytical, and relationship building skills and will be expected to develop an agenda for system-wide innovative organizational improvement. The leader interfaces with senior leadership and front-line team members, executes organizational development strategy, and drives change initiatives across the system to optimize organizational potential and achieve strategic and operational objectives. This position reports to the system CFO and requires a dynamic and accomplished healthcare executive who can work effectively in a highly matrixed and relationship-driven culture. The Chief Revenue Officer must be a visionary leader who knows how to effectively drive change in a complex and distributed yet system-oriented environment.

Candidate Qualifications
Cand idates for the position will be evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree is required. Master's Degree is preferred.
- Requires 15+ years of relevant experience.
- Must be data driven with a sophisticated command of data analytics.
- Must have a broad and strategic perspective with a focus on consumer value and profitable growth.
- Requires experience managing multiple complex projects involving multiple customers, interests, and goals.
- Requires a strong blend of management skills and technical expertise demonstrated by superior planning, decision-making, negotiation, leadership, and financial management skills/knowledge, with a focus on adding value to the bottom line of the business to foster a preeminent healthcare environment.
- Requires strong communication and relationship-building skills with all levels of employees, management, and community leaders and is a proven leader who is an effective, creative, and visionary problem solver.
- Must be a proven leader of people who is able to recruit, develop, and mentor a top‑notch team capable of supporting future growth and demonstrates leadership in building strong, engaged teams within the organization and community.
