The ideal candidate will be a key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for shaping the financial strategy of the company and driving long-term value creation. You will oversee the entire finance function, including accounts, taxation, treasury, costing, investor relations, and financial planning, ensuring robust governance and alignment with business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Leadership
- Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company’s vision and growth roadmap.
- Partner with the MD and Board on strategic planning, business expansion, M&A, capital allocation, and risk management.
- Drive business performance through data-backed financial insights and decision-making.
Financial Planning, Budgeting & Analysis
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
- Track financial KPIs and variances; implement corrective actions to achieve financial targets.
- Provide strategic inputs on pricing, margin management, and cost optimization.
Accounting & Compliance
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with Ind AS and Companies Act.
- Oversee statutory audits, internal controls, and regulatory filings.
- Ensure full tax compliance (direct & indirect) and manage complex assessments or litigation.
Treasury & Fund Management
- Manage banking relationships, working capital, loans, and treasury operations.
- Optimize capital structure, debt management, and liquidity planning.
- Oversee project finance, subsidies, and financial closures for new investments.
Team Leadership & Development
- Build and mentor a high-performing finance team across business units.
- Promote a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Stakeholder Management
- Represent the company in front of financial institutions, investors, regulators, and auditors.
- Prepare board-level reports, investor decks, and financial strategy presentations.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Qualifications: Chartered Accountant (CA) is mandatory. MBA (Finance), CFA, or equivalent credentials are preferred.
- Experience: relevant experience, including at least 5 years in a CFO or senior leadership role in manufacturing, sugar, ethanol, or infrastructure sectors.
- Deep understanding of financial strategy, corporate finance, taxation, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong track record in managing complex financial operations, debt restructuring, and project financing.
- Proven leadership capabilities, stakeholder management, and strategic thinking.
- Exposure to ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or Tally) and financial digitization initiatives.
