The Sales Operations Analyst role is critical to supporting the Sales Team and is highly customer-centric. This individual is a strategic enabler with extensive cross-functional collaboration skills. Managing data integrity and driving sales strategy through analytical insights. This role will focus on new customer engagement, assist with onboarding tasks, assist with the pricing agreement process, support the sales team in directing their time and efforts on the most strategic accounts they manage.
This position is based on site at our San Jose office.
Key Responsibilities:
Key Accounts Supporting:
- Facilitating Pricing Agreements: Work with sales teams to structure and manage strategic pricing agreements.
- Ensuring Compliance: Review deals to ensure they adhere to company policies, legal requirements, and industry regulations.
- Manage Contract Terms: Collaborate with legal and finance to manage agreement start / expiration dates ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Managing New Customer On-boarding Workflow: Oversee the entire procedure, from initial proposal to final contract execution, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
- Providing Expertise: Offer guidance and support to sales teams on pricing, contract terms and other facilities.
Sales Process Improvement:
- Identifying and Addressing Issues: Analyze the sales process to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to streamline operations.
- Developing Templates and Workflows: Create templates, workflows, and documentation to standardize processes and improve efficiency.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to sales teams on sales operations processes, tools, and policies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Liaising with Other Departments: Work closely with sales, finance, legal, and other relevant departments to ensure seamless deal execution.
- Building Relationships: Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate collaboration and communication.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Tracking Key Metrics: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track sales operations performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Generating Reports: Prepare reports and presentations for senior management, providing insights into sales operations activities and performance.
- Successful execution: When implemented, the Sales operations will streamline sales operations by reducing pricing agreement cycle times by up to 30% and enhance sales productivity by up to 20%.
Technology & Process Optimization:
- Identifying Automation Opportunities: Looking for ways to streamline processes and improve efficiency using technology.
- Utilizing CRM and Other Tools: Proficiently using CRM systems, quoting tools, and other relevant software to manage deals and data.
- Data Accuracy: Ensuring accurate data entry and maintenance within CRM and other systems.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in sales operations, sales administration, sales operations, business analysis, contract management, or a similar role, preferably in a startup environment.
- High attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and problem-solving.
- Flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
- Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and work independently with minimal supervision.
