Chief Financial Officer - Union City, NJ - Manufacturing Consumer Goods Company

A privately held consumer products company located in Union City, NJ is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join its leadership team. The company operates a vertically integrated model across design, manufacturing, and distribution, with a strong reputation and long-standing customer relationships. This is a high-impact role for a hands-on finance leader.

Responsibilities:

Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and leadership team,
Oversee all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning
Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital
Oversee inventory accounting and cost accounting, partnering closely with operations to improve margins
Maintain relationships with lenders, including oversight of credit facilities and borrowing-base reporting
Partner with sales and operations on pricing, profitability, and retailer-related deductions/chargebacks
Build and lead a high-performing finance team while enhancing systems and processes

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred
12+ years of progressive finance experience, including senior leadership experience
Background in manufacturing, consumer products, wholesale/retail, or other inventory-heavy environments
Strong expertise in inventory, cost accounting, and working capital management
Experience managing lender relationships and debt facilities
Proven ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution
Strong communication and business partnering skills
