Northwest Houston, PE backed company is seeking a high-level accounting professional to oversee financial
strategy, reporting, compliance, and operational accounting across our growing regional
platform in Texas.
Responsibilities:
• Lead all accounting operations (AP, AR, GL, payroll, and job costing)
• Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and project profitability analysis
• Manage project-based cost accounting, percentage-of-completion revenue
recognition, and change order tracking
• Monitor cash flow and working capital across multiple active projects and pipelines
• Develop financial dashboards and KPIs for executive leadership
• Ensure GAAP compliance, tax coordination, and audit readiness working with 3rd
party accounting firms.
• Oversee vendor and subcontractor payments, retainage, and large-scale project
financial administration
• Drive improvements to reporting systems (QuickBooks enterprise accounting
software experience preferred)
Ideal Candidate:
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with strong preference for the
construction industry
• CPA preferred
• Private Equity experience a plus
• Audit experience required
• Hands-on expertise in job costing and construction project accounting
• Advanced Excel proficiency and ERP/systems experience
