IT Business System Specialist
Position Summary:
Seeking an IT Business System Specialist with a minimum of three to five (3-5) years’ experience to help support existing sites and continue the national implementation. Experience is required with BFC Dakota, RoadNet Routing tool, Proof of Delivery systems such as Mobile Conductor and Telematic Systems such as Samsara. Experience with warehouse operations, understanding transportation and food delivery mechanism, configuration, and setup of end user IT equipment such as Printers, PCs, Mobile and RF devices, and accessories, as well as reporting ana analytic tools.
Candidate will need strong written and verbal communications skills. Will help with the design, configuration, and deployment of enhancements and implementation projects. Identify and assess business system needs by working with the business and project management to create logical solutions using TCWs current and future applications. Perform research to create functional designs that when developed and implemented will meet business needs.
The position may require up to 25% travel, some weekend work, before or after normal working hours availability.
Required skills and experiences:
- Warehouse Management System (WMS), configuration, implementation, and support
- Order Management System (OMS), standard ERPs used in food distribution.
- BI and Reporting Tools, Data collections and analysis, create reports and dashboards.
- Databases (SQL, Oracle), writing simple queries, extracting data, etc.
- MS Office Suite
- Basic knowledge and understanding about Integration, EDI and data exchange.
- Project Coordination, understanding basics of project management skills to lead small to medium projects.
What you will do:
- Lead and manage small to medium IT implementation projects.
- Config and set up warehouse management and related tools and applications such as DockVu.
- Liasson with business and identifying/determine their requirements, potential improvements/enhancements or pain points and creating actionable tasks to address and implement them.
- Design and produce various analytic reports using raw data from various systems used in TCW.
- Create, maintain, and update user guides and SOPs for IT systems used in Chefs’ Warehouse.
- Train operations and business users on TCW systems such as WMS, proof of delivery, routing. Etc.
About you:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology / computer science / business / logistics or related majors
- 3-5 years’ experience in food distribution, supply chain, or warehousing
- 3-5 years’ experience with BFC Dakota, RoadNet Routing tool, and Mobile Conductor.
- 3-5 years’ experience in project implementations, especially technology and IT roll outs.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to help resolve production issues.
- Proven ability to effectively interact with various levels of business and operations stakeholders and players.
- 3 years of experience writing functional specifications for business enhancements, reports, data conversions, interfaces, and process improvements.
