Role Description
The Vice President for Administration, Finance, and Operations oversees a broad portfolio of functions including finance, human resources, compliance, risk management, auxiliary services, information technology, public safety, purchasing, contracts, and campus operations. This full-time, on-site role in Belmont, NC is focused on ensuring fiscal sustainability through rigorous and transparent financial analysis and communication with all College stakeholders. This role collaborates with the President, the executive leadership team, and the Board of Trustees to align financial strategies with the institution's mission and long-term goals. Qualifications
- bachelors degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field and a masters degree in accounting, business administration, and/or finance, and a CPA or CFA licensure.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of management experience in non-profit higher education and institutional finance expertise.
- Track record of impactful and sustained success and a strategic ambition that creates results with a compassionate mindset and a student-centered approach that reflects catholic mission and values.
- Expertise in financial planning, budgeting, accounting and audit, treasury and debt management, investment oversight, internal controls, endowment accounting and management, grant administration, and operational management.
- Ability to engage effectively with Trustees and other stakeholders, the emotional intelligence to build a culture of partnership, and the vision to align institutional mission and priorities with financial acumen.
- Success in building effective teams and improving systems to serve academic, student life, and mission priorities.
- Experience overseeing enterprise risk management insurance, procurement, and business services.
- Knowledge of the higher education regulatory environment, including federal and state compliance, not-for-profit accounting standards, and tax compliance.
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally to a variety of audiences.
- Practicing Catholic, upholding the teachings of the Church
- Visible Christian leader on and off campus.
