Retail Partner Manager
Position Overview
The Retail Partner Manager is responsible for driving strategic growth and expanding market presence across Pomeroy’s Retail solutions portfolio by strengthening relationships with key OEM and technology partners. This role serves as the primary liaison between Pomeroy and assigned Retail partners, aligning joint business objectives, enabling sales engagement, and delivering customer-focused technology solutions across the retail ecosystem.
This position supports initiatives involving retail technologies such as POS systems, self-checkout, digital signage, mobility, payment solutions, retail software, and related in-store technologies.
The ideal candidate will be regionally located near South Carolina, North Carolina, or Kentucky and comfortable traveling throughout the region as needed to support partner engagement, customer meetings, sales initiatives, and industry events.
Key Responsibilities
Partner & Business Development
- Serve as the primary relationship manager between Pomeroy and assigned Retail OEM and technology partners.
- Develop and execute joint business plans designed to grow revenue, increase market visibility, and expand strategic opportunities.
- Promote the combined value of Pomeroy’s services and partner technologies to internal teams, customers, and prospective clients.
- Foster strong collaboration between partner organizations and Pomeroy sales, solutions, and leadership teams.
Sales Enablement & Market Growth
- Support sales teams with partner-focused solution positioning, technical alignment, and customer engagement strategies.
- Participate in client meetings and presentations as a Retail solutions subject matter resource.
- Identify market trends, customer needs, and emerging retail technologies to help shape go-to-market initiatives.
- Coordinate partner-driven campaigns, sales initiatives, and promotional programs to increase pipeline development and revenue growth.
- Facilitate training and enablement sessions to improve internal understanding of Retail products, services, and solution offerings.
Strategic Collaboration & Reporting
- Lead recurring partner cadence meetings, business reviews, and strategic planning discussions.
- Maintain forecasting, pipeline tracking, and reporting related to partner performance and opportunity development.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, operations, services, and marketing teams to ensure alignment and execution of shared objectives.
- Act as a central point of contact for issue resolution, communication, and ongoing partnership management.
Additional Responsibilities
- Support special projects, strategic initiatives, and other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in partner management, business development, channel sales, or retail technology solutions.
- Experience working with Retail OEMs or technologies such as Toshiba, HP, Zebra, Elo, Spectrio, retail software platforms, digital signage, POS systems, self-checkout, or related retail technologies.
- Strong communication, relationship management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage strategic partnerships and support revenue growth initiatives.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to identify opportunities and align technology solutions to customer needs.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment with multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to travel regionally by air and car as needed.
