Chenel Capital Partners is looking to hire a Chief Financial Officer to join our team in New York and support the continued growth of the firm, including our dedicated space investment strategy, SpaceTech Capital I LP.
We are looking for someone with 10+ years of finance experience who has worked in or around holding companies, venture capital, private equity, alternative investments, family offices, fund administration, or institutional finance.
This role will work closely with senior leadership across Chenel Capital and SpaceTech Capital, helping build the financial, accounting, reporting, tax, compliance, and operational infrastructure needed to support a growing investment firm.
The CFO will be involved in:
- Financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting across the firm
- Fund accounting, capital calls, distributions, management fees, and expense allocation
- Investor reporting and LP financial communications
- Coordination with fund administrators, auditors, tax advisors, banks, and legal counsel
- Supporting fundraising, diligence, and institutional investor reporting
- Helping build internal controls, reporting processes, governance procedures, and financial systems
- We are looking for a finance leader who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-moving investment environment. Experience with fund structures, alternative asset management, audits, tax reporting, and institutional investors is strongly preferred.
- A CPA, CFA, MBA, or similar finance background is a plus, but not required for the right candidate.
