CFO, Finance Transformation & Technology
About the Role
We’re looking for a high-caliber finance leader with the mindset of a modern CFO and the instincts of a builder.
The CFO, Finance Transformation & Technology will own the finance function while also overseeing the organization’s technology strategy as it relates to operational efficiency, systems modernization, automation, data visibility, and scalable infrastructure across the enterprise.
This is not a traditional CFO role focused only on stewardship, reporting, and compliance.
We are looking for someone with deep finance and accounting expertise, strong operational leadership, and real technology fluency — someone who can lead financial excellence while shaping how technology is leveraged across the organization to drive efficiency, connectivity, automation, and better decision-making.
The mandate is clear:
Build a finance function that is accurate, disciplined, scalable, data-driven, and increasingly automated — while overseeing a broader technology strategy that helps the organization operate with greater efficiency, clarity, and connectedness.
This leader will play a central role in both finance leadership and enterprise technology-enabled transformation.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the organization’s finance and accounting function with excellence, rigor, and accountability
- Own financial operations including accounting, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and financial controls
- Oversee the organization’s technology strategy across departments, with a focus on systems, automation, data infrastructure, integration, and efficiency
- Ensure technology investments and initiatives are aligned with business priorities, operational needs, and measurable outcomes
- Drive finance transformation initiatives that improve efficiency, accuracy, speed, and scalability
- Identify manual, fragmented, and inefficient workflows across finance and broader operational functions
- Redesign processes to reduce friction, shorten cycle times, and improve visibility
- Evaluate, implement, and optimize systems, tools, automations, and AI solutions that create measurable business value
- Build a more connected finance and enterprise technology stack, including reporting infrastructure, dashboards, workflows, and integrations
- Partner closely with operations, data, engineering, and leadership teams to align financial, operational, and technology strategies
- Improve enterprise visibility by reducing siloed reporting and helping unify critical business data
- Establish and lead a roadmap for finance modernization and broader technology-enabled operational excellence
- Bring a high bar for execution while helping the organization scale responsibly and intelligently
What Success Looks Like in the First 3–6 Months
We expect visible and measurable progress quickly:
- Meaningful reduction in manual work across core finance and accounting processes
- Faster, cleaner, and more reliable financial reporting and close-related workflows
- Improved financial visibility through stronger dashboards, better reporting structure, and clearer metrics
- Clear efficiency gains across priority finance and operational workflows
- Better alignment and clarity around the organization’s technology strategy and systems roadmap
- Automation and technology initiatives launched with practical value and measurable results
- Better integration between finance, operations, data, systems, and leadership priorities
- A defined roadmap for a scalable, modern, and technology-enabled finance and operating model
This role is about execution, modernization, leadership, and impact — not just oversight.
What We’re Looking For
- Significant leadership experience in finance, accounting, and operational management, ideally in a CFO, VP Finance, Controller-plus, or transformation-focused leadership role
- Deep command of finance and accounting fundamentals, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, controls, and operational finance
- Proven success driving process improvement, operational efficiency, and measurable transformation
- Strong systems mindset and the ability to connect financial, operational, and technical workflows
- Real technology fluency, including experience shaping technology strategy, finance systems, reporting infrastructure, automation tools, integrations, and digital transformation efforts
- Experience working closely with technology, data, product, or engineering teams
- Practical understanding of AI and automation opportunities across finance and operations
- Strong analytical, operational, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to translate ambiguity into structure, priorities, and execution
- A builder mindset with strong ownership, urgency, and follow-through
- Comfortable challenging legacy processes and leading meaningful change across functions
Ideal Candidate
The right person for this role is more than a finance executive.
They are a modern CFO who understands accounting deeply, thinks operationally, and can oversee technology strategy across the organization with sound judgment and practical execution. They know how to align finance, systems, data, and technology to build infrastructure that makes the business run better.
They know how to create a finance function that is not only financially sound, but also efficient, connected, automated, and built for growth — while helping guide the broader organization toward smarter technology decisions and stronger operational performance.
Why This Role Matters
Finance should not only measure the business.
It should help power it.
This role is an opportunity to lead finance while also shaping the technology strategy that supports a smarter, faster, and more efficient organization.
