Our Chief Financial Officer serves as the Credit Union's primary financial strategist. The CFO is challenged with balancing profitability with a member-focused mindset and delivering ongoing data-driven insights of our financial position. This key executive role oversees all risk assessments and internal controls that safeguard long term member confidence which allows our team to continue to offer better, faster, easier, more affordable solutions.
Key job functions include, but are not limited to:
- Similar to how our storybook lending strategy breaks down our member’s loan situation during underwriting, our CFO will bring the financials alive to the team and board with each reporting period through accurate visual and written communication while also providing encouraging quarterly goal progression updates.
- Approachable leader for the credit union on all things related to finance, accounting, budgeting, audits, taxes, insurance, and risk management.
- Subject matter expert in complying with industry, accounting, and Blue Eagle Credit Union regulations, policies, reporting requirements and procedures.
- Leverages emerging technologies to automate transactional tasks, increasing team bandwidth to focus on more high-yielding initiatives.
- Lives the Blue Eagle Credit Union Brand in developing and executing the Asset Liability Management program, Investment portfolio, and other Finance related reports and policies.
- Lifelong learner willing to mentor and advance the technical and professional skills of direct reports in Finance and Compliance throughout their career.

RequirementsThe ‘must haves’ for this position include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics required; CPA or MBA strongly preferred
- Deep technical mastery of NCUA regulatory frameworks
- Proven expertise in developing Board-approved investment policies and multi-year financial forecasting
- Senior financial leadership experience
- Expert in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
- Engaging personality with exceptional communication skills with the ability to lead and influence others
- Preference will be given to applicants who have applicable experience in the credit union or banking industry
