A respected, mission-driven healthcare organization in North Carolina is seeking a strategic and collaborative Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its executive leadership team.
This is far more than a traditional “bean counter” finance role. The organization is seeking a forward-thinking executive leader who can serve as a true strategic partner to leadership — someone who can help drive organizational growth, innovation, operational excellence, and long-term sustainability while supporting a culture centered on compassionate care and service.
The CFO will play a critical role in guiding financial strategy, operational sustainability, reimbursement optimization, and future organizational growth initiatives across the organization.

• Executive leadership role partnering closely with the CEO, CAO, and Board of Directors
• Opportunity to serve as a strategic business partner and organizational leader — not simply oversee accounting functions
• Lead organizational financial strategy, forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning

• Oversee accounting, audit, compliance, revenue cycle, investments, and reimbursement strategy

🔹 Key Responsibilities:
• Strategic financial planning and forecasting
• Revenue cycle oversight and reimbursement management
• Annual operating and capital budget development
• Audit coordination and nonprofit financial compliance
• Financial modeling and scenario analysis
• Board reporting and executive presentations
• Development of KPI dashboards and data-informed decision making
• Oversight of payer relationships and value-based initiatives
• Leadership of finance operations and support service functions
🔹 Required Qualifications:
✔ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required
✔ MBA, CPA, CMA, or CHFP preferred
✔ Minimum 7 years of progressive finance experience with leadership responsibility
✔ Healthcare and/or nonprofit experience strongly preferred
✔ Knowledge of reimbursement models, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analytics
✔ Advanced Excel and financial systems experience required
✔ Experience with Power BI or similar dashboard/reporting tools preferred
✔ Hospice, palliative care, or healthcare reimbursement experience highly valued
