This role reports directly to the CEO and board, and is critical to shaping the financial narrative for investors and acquirers. The right candidate brings direct M&A or fundraising deal experience, SaaS or AI-adjacent industry knowledge, and the ability to operate with urgency in a high-burn environment.

What You'll Own
- Lead all CFO-level responsibilities across financial reporting, FP&A, and cash management for the AI SaaS business
- Serve as the company's financial lead
- Drive financial segmentation between two business units as the company prepares for separation
- Manage the company's cash burn and liquidity position through a high-investment growth phase
- Partner with the CEO and board to translate financial performance into clear, accurate narratives
- Oversee accounting operations and financial controls
Must-Haves
- 15+ years of progressive finance experience, including prior CFO tenure
- Direct involvement in a sell-side M&A process or capital raise — not just familiarity, active deal participation
- Background in SaaS, agentic AI, or an adjacent technology industry
- Demonstrated ability to manage and communicate clearly in a high-burn business
- Detail-oriented with the confidence to challenge optimistic assumptions at the executive and board level
- Comfort operating in a fast-moving, high-stakes environment with multiple concurrent priorities
Nice to Have
- Prior experience managing financial segmentation or carve-out accounting across business units
- Exposure to venture- or growth equity-backed company environments
