Divisional CFO – SaaS Business
Location: UK-Based | Fully Remote
About the Role:
We are seeking an ambitious, commercially minded Divisional CFO to join a fast-growing SaaS business at a pivotal stage of scale. This is a high-impact leadership role for a finance executive who combines strong technical foundations with strategic commercial capability and is excited by the opportunity to grow alongside the business.
You will act as a key partner to the executive team, helping shape financial strategy, commercial decision-making, and operational excellence across the division. The ideal candidate will bring deep SaaS industry experience, strong financial control discipline, and the ability to influence at C-suite level internally and externally.
This role is fully remote within the UK and offers significant opportunity for progression as the company continues to scale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the divisional finance function, ensuring robust financial governance, controls, and reporting
- Own financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis
- Provide strategic commercial support across pricing, bids, contracts, and investment decisions
- Partner with senior stakeholders to develop business cases and support growth initiatives
- Drive SaaS revenue recognition compliance and improve financial processes and reporting accuracy
- Act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and external partners at C-suite level
- Support M&A activity, strategic partnerships, and scaling initiatives where required
- Build and develop a high-performing finance capability aligned with company growth
- Continuously improve systems, controls, and finance operations to support a scaling SaaS environment
About You:
We are looking for a progressive finance leader who has evolved from a strong technical accounting background into a commercially strategic business partner.
You will likely have:
- Qualified accountant status (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Significant experience within a SaaS or recurring revenue business model
- Deep understanding of SaaS metrics and revenue recognition principles
- Proven experience supporting pricing strategy, bids, commercial negotiations, and business cases
- Strong grounding in accounting, audit, financial controls, and governance
- Experience partnering with senior executives, investors, customers, and external stakeholders
- Strong strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution capability
- The ambition and adaptability to grow with a scaling organisation and expand your leadership remit over time
