Blair West are supporting a high-growth, VC backed cybersecurity SaaS business to find a Chief Financial Officer. The business has a global operating footprint across EMEA, APAC and North America. With ARR having grown rapidly post-investment and further funding planned later this year, the business is entering its next phase of scale. This is a newly defined, high-impact role combining financial leadership with operational oversight, positioned as the right hand to the CEO and forming a key part of the executive leadership team.
The opportunity:
- Act as a strategic partner to the CEO, providing financial insight and operational leadership across the business.
- Own financial planning, forecasting and cash management, with a particular focus on ARR predictability and rollout modelling.
- Lead and develop the existing finance function, including oversight of the Financial Controller and other outsourced support.
- Improve and embed scalable processes, controls and reporting frameworks appropriate for a high-growth SaaS environment.
- Drive operational clarity across teams, supporting customer success, HR and broader business infrastructure where required.
- Support future fundraising activity, investor reporting and board engagement.
- Enhance systems utilisation (including CRM and finance tools) to improve data integrity and commercial visibility
- Play a key role in establishing and shaping the London office as a core business hub.
You’ll be the ideal candidate for this role if you have:
- Proven experience in a high-growth B2B SaaS environment, ideally in a PE or VC-backed business.
- Operated as a CFO, COO, FD or a strong number two ready to step into a number one role.
- Experience scaling businesses from early-stage ARR through significant growth milestones.
- A track record of implementing financial controls, systems and operational processes in evolving environments.
- Strong forecasting capability, particularly within subscription-based revenue models.
- Experience supporting or leading fundraising processes and board-level reporting.
- A hands-on, operational mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive structure.
- The credibility and presence to act as deputy to the CEO and lead in their absence.
