/ Lead Finance, Payroll & Enterprise Transformation
/ $100M National Organisation with Purpose
Workskil Australia is Australia's largest not-for-profit employment services provider, supporting individuals, families and communities across South Australia, Western Australia, Victoria, New South Wales and the Northern Territory. With more than 900 employees operating from 69 locations nationally, Workskil delivers employment, youth, community, justice and housing programs that create meaningful and lasting outcomes across Australia. As the organisation continues to evolve and diversify, this is a rare opportunity to join a highly respected South Australian headquartered organisation with annual revenue approaching $100 million, strong governance foundations and a clear growth agenda. The Chief Financial Officer will play a critical role in shaping Workskil's future, supporting organisational growth, driving transformation and ensuring long-term financial sustainability.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer and as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, the Chief Financial Officer will provide strategic leadership across finance, payroll, governance, risk and organisational performance. Leading a team of approximately 20 finance and payroll professionals, you will ensure strong financial stewardship while acting as a trusted advisor to the CEO, Executive Team and Board.
This is far more than a traditional finance leadership role. You will lead significant enterprise-wide initiatives including the implementation of a new Dayforce HRIS and payroll platform, ongoing finance systems modernisation and the advancement of automation, reporting and AI-enabled solutions. Working closely with the Board and Audit & Risk Committee, you will provide commercial insight, influence strategic decision-making and help build the organisational capability required for the next phase of growth and impact.
You are a strategic and influential finance leader who combines strong commercial acumen with exceptional leadership capability. Comfortable operating at Executive and Board level, you bring the credibility to challenge thinking, drive organisational improvement and provide trusted advice in complex environments. You may already be operating as a Chief Financial Officer or be an accomplished senior finance executive ready to step into a broader enterprise leadership role.
Your background may have been developed within a large commercial organisation, listed company, professional services firm or other complex environment, with Big Four training and qualifications viewed favourably. You will bring strong financial leadership, strategic thinking and executive presence, together with experience leading transformation, business improvement initiatives and sizeable multi-site finance operations.
This is a rare opportunity to join a purpose-driven national organisation at a pivotal stage of its evolution where you will help shape the future direction of an organisation making a genuine difference where it matters most.
