Position Overview
We are seeking a highly accomplished and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the finance function of a rapidly growing Copper Pipe Manufacturing company. The CFO will be responsible for driving financial strategy, business planning, treasury management, fundraising, IPO readiness, investor relations, corporate governance, and overall financial performance.
The role will work closely with the CEO, Promoters, Board of Directors, bankers, auditors, investors, and regulatory authorities to support the company's next phase of growth and value creation.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Finance & Business Leadership
- Partner with the CEO and Board in defining and executing the company's growth strategy.
- Provide financial leadership for expansion projects, acquisitions, capacity enhancement, and new business initiatives.
- Drive profitability, cash flow optimization, and shareholder value creation.
- Develop long-term financial and capital allocation strategies.
IPO Readiness & Capital Markets
- Lead IPO planning, preparation, and execution activities.
- Coordinate with merchant bankers, legal advisors, auditors, registrars, stock exchanges, and regulatory authorities.
- Manage due diligence, financial restructuring, and corporate governance initiatives required for listing.
- Ensure compliance with SEBI regulations and public company reporting requirements.
- Build and manage investor relations programs post-listing.
- Support fundraising through private equity, strategic investors, QIP, rights issues, debt instruments, and other capital market activities.
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes.
- Develop MIS and performance dashboards for management and board review.
- Monitor profitability, margins, and business performance against targets.
- Drive data-driven decision-making across functions.
Treasury & Working Capital Management
- Manage banking relationships and financing arrangements.
- Optimize working capital, cash flow, and liquidity management.
- Lead debt restructuring, term loans, and working capital facilities.
- Monitor foreign exchange exposure and commodity price risks.
Manufacturing Finance & Costing
- Oversee product costing, inventory valuation, and manufacturing accounting.
- Drive cost reduction and operational efficiency initiatives.
- Analyze copper price fluctuations and their impact on profitability.
- Develop financial controls across procurement, production, and supply chain functions.
Compliance, Governance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with Companies Act, SEBI Regulations, Income Tax, GST, FEMA, and other statutory requirements.
- Lead statutory audits, internal audits, secretarial audits, and regulatory reporting.
- Strengthen internal controls, risk management, and governance frameworks.
- Ensure adherence to best practices expected of a listed company.
Leadership & Team Management
- Build and lead a high-performing finance, accounts, costing, taxation, treasury, and investor relations team.
- Drive ERP implementation, financial automation, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Develop succession planning and leadership capabilities within the finance function.
Desired Candidate Profile
Education
- Chartered Accountant (CA) – Mandatory
- MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification preferred
Experience
- 15–25 years of progressive finance leadership experience.
- Minimum 5 years in a CFO, Finance Director, VP Finance, or equivalent leadership role.
- Prior experience in managing or playing a key leadership role in an IPO, listing process, or public company environment is highly preferred.
- Strong exposure to manufacturing industries such as Copper, Non-Ferrous Metals, Steel, Tubes & Pipes, Building Materials, Industrial Products, Engineering Products, Electrical Equipment, or Process Industries.
