POSITION SUMMARY
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will serve as a key strategic partner to the ownership group and executive leadership, providing financial oversight and guidance across all business units. This senior executive will be responsible for the integrity of our financial operations, long-term financial planning, risk management, and ensuring the organization remains positioned for sustainable growth. The ideal candidate brings deep hospitality industry expertise, strong technical accounting skills, and the ability to thrive in a values-driven, family business culture.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Strategy & Leadership
- Serve as the primary financial advisor to ownership, providing strategic recommendations to support business objectives and growth initiatives
- Lead the development of annual budgets, multi-year financial forecasts, and long-range financial plans across all business units
- Evaluate and support investment opportunities, capital projects, acquisitions, and new venture assessments
- Establish and monitor key financial performance indicators (KPIs), providing regular reporting to ownership and leadership
Accounting, Reporting & Compliance
- Oversee all accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, general ledger, and month-end/year-end close processes
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with Tax Basis of Accounting
- Manage relationships with external tax advisors, banks, and regulatory agencies
- Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements and reporting obligations
- Maintain and enhance internal controls and financial policies to safeguard company assets
Systems & Data Analysis
- Leverage Sage Accounting Software to manage financial data, streamline reporting, and optimize system usage across properties
- Develop and maintain advanced Excel-based financial models utilizing pivot tables for performance analysis, variance reporting, and scenario planning
- Drive continuous improvement in financial systems, processes, and reporting capabilities
Team & Operational Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Partner with department heads across operations, sales, and HR to provide financial insights that drive decision-making
- Support ownership on banking relationships, financing arrangements, and debt management
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA strongly preferred
- Minimum 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior finance role
- Demonstrated experience in the hospitality, tourism, or related service industry
- Proficiency in Sage Accounting Software — hands-on experience required
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including extensive experience building and utilizing pivot tables for financial analysis and reporting
- Proven track record of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting in a multi-entity or multi-property environment
- Strong knowledge of taxation, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance
- Experience working with family-owned or closely held businesses preferred

Pay: $140,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
