Role Overview:
The Debt Advisory Associate is the bridge between founders and lenders. You will manage client relationships end-to-end, from the first discovery call to deal closure and payment collection. This role requires someone who understands business financials, can learn lender credit policies quickly, and has the confidence to negotiate terms on behalf of clients. You will work directly with founders, understand their capital needs, and coordinate with our lender network to structure and close debt deals efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle client calls to understand their business, revenue profile, and debt requirements.
- Analyse client financials, bank statements, and basic compliance documents to assess eligibility.
- Learn and stay updated on lender credit policies across our network of 70+ lending partners.
- Coordinate between clients and lenders throughout the deal lifecycle, ensuring smooth communication.
- Work closely with founders on day-to-day operations, documentation, and deal progress tracking.
- Negotiate deal terms, interest rates, and structures to get the best outcome for clients.
- Ensure timely execution of loan agreements and follow up on client payment receipts and disbursements.
Qualifications and Skills:
- BBA/B.COM/MBA in Finance graduates from a recognized institution.
- 0 to 1 year of work experience in lending, debt advisory, financial services, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow analysis.
- Familiarity with basic company compliances, GST filings, ITR, ROC, and banking documentation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client and lender interactions.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to structure and close deals independently.
- Self-driven, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
