As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced, credentialed health professional to lead our team as a Full-Time Wellness Sales & Operations Associate.
About the Role
This is a growth-oriented role for a credentialed natural health professional who combines clinical knowledge with a passion for retail and customer service. As Wellness Sales & Operations Associate, you will be a valued part of our customer experience – guiding clients through supplement and wellness decisions, supporting daily store operations, contributing to local marketing efforts, and growing alongside a team rooted in health, integrity, and genuine care.
Mandatory Qualifications
Candidates must hold at least one of the following credentials:
- Registered Holistic Nutritionist (RHN) or Certified Nutritional Practitioner (CNP)
- Naturopathic Doctor (ND) or Naturopathic Practitioner
- Homeopathic Practitioner (DHMHS, HD or equivalent recognized designation)
- Or a closely related regulated / recognized natural health credential
In addition, the successful candidate must have:
- Experience working in a natural health retail store or wellness clinic; prior supervisory or senior sales experience is an asset
- Demonstrated expertise in vitamins, minerals, herbal supplements, homeopathic remedies, and nutraceuticals
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets in a retail or health services environment
- Hands-on experience with local marketing campaigns, social media content creation, and community engagement strategies
Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Care & Clinical Guidance
- Provide personalized, evidence-informed product recommendations to customers based on their health goals and needs
- Translate complex nutritional, naturopathic, or homeopathic concepts into accessible guidance for customers of all backgrounds
- Build lasting client relationships by following up on product results and adjusting recommendations as needed
- Maintain professional boundaries and refer customers to appropriate healthcare providers when concerns fall outside the store’s scope
Store Operations & Sales Support
- Oversee daily store operations including opening and closing procedures, cash management, and POS reconciliation
- Manage inventory levels, conduct regular stock audits, place purchase orders, and liaise with suppliers and distributors
- Receive incoming shipments: verify orders against purchase invoices, inspect products for accuracy and condition, and process received stock in the POS system
- Stock and rotate product on shelves following FIFO (first in, first out) principles; ensure all items are correctly priced, labelled, and neatly displayed
- Ensure the store is maintained in a clean, organized, and visually appealing manner consistent with brand standards
- Monitor and report on daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance against targets
- Implement merchandising strategies to optimize product placement and drive category sales
- Assist in tracking store expenses and reporting on budget performance in collaboration with ownership, identifying opportunities for cost efficiency
- Set and communicate clear sales goals and KPIs to the team; analyze performance trends and adjust strategies accordingly
- Evaluate vendor relationships and negotiate pricing or promotional support where appropriate
Team Collaboration
- Foster a collaborative, supportive, and customer-first team culture
- Lead by example on the sales floor, demonstrating expert-level customer engagement and professional health guidance
Local Marketing & Social Media
- Support the store’s social media presence (Instagram, Facebook) by contributing health-focused content including product spotlights, wellness tips, and promotions – all posted with owner/operator approval
- Assist with local marketing initiatives such as in-store signage, flyers, and email newsletters as directed by ownership
- Respond to customer comments, messages, and online reviews in a timely and professional manner, in keeping with the store’s brand voice and with owner/operator guidance
Community Engagement
- Assist in organizing in-store wellness events, product demonstrations, and seasonal promotions as approved by ownership
- Support the growth of community relationships with local health practitioners and wellness businesses to help build the store’s referral network
- Contribute to a welcoming, loyal customer community through excellent in-store service and genuine follow-up care
Compliance & Administration
- Adhere to all Health Canada regulations related to natural health products (NHPs) and ensure all staff do the same
- Maintain accurate records for ordering, sales reporting, staff scheduling, and any required regulatory documentation
- Complete administrative tasks and any additional duties assigned by ownership
Skills & Competencies
- Deep knowledge of the natural health product landscape including supplements, botanicals, homeopathics, and functional foods
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills with the ability to inspire and hold a team accountable
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to connect warmly with diverse clientele
- Proficiency with POS systems, Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
- Demonstrated social media content experience
- Experience with basic graphic design tools (e.g. Canva) for creating promotional content is a must
- Highly organized with the ability to balance multiple priorities across operations, team support, and marketing
- Self-directed and proactive; takes initiative without waiting for direction and brings creative ideas to grow the business
- Physical ability to meet the demands of the role including standing for extended periods, lifting, reaching, and climbing ladders
Schedule & Availability
This full-time, permanent position requires flexibility across the following shift types:
- 10-hour shifts
- 8-hour shifts
- 4-hour shifts
Candidates must be available to work evenings and weekends as part of a regular rotating schedule.
