Thyseed is a premium baby-feeding brand focused on helping parents through stressful feeding needs by bringing their babies high quality, trusted baby bottles and other feeding products. We are building our US business from the ground up and are looking for a hands-on business operations manager who can help set up and manage the daily operating foundation for our US team.
About the Role
This role will support Thyseed’s US business operations, including HR, finance coordination, vendor management, office administration, and cross-border communication. This role helps build the operating system that allows the US business to grow in a clear, organized, and reulatory compliant way.You will work closely with the US Country Manager, China headquarters, and vendor partners to make sure the US team can hire, operate, spend, report, and execute efficiently. The ideal candidate is organized, practical, detail-oriented, and comfortable building processes from scratch in a fast-moving startup environment. Mandarin Chinese speaking, reading, and writing ability is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the setup and daily management of Thyseed’s US business operations in line with local regulations and practices.
- Help create and maintain basic operating processes, including reporting, vendor tracking, document management, and internal communication.
- Coordinate with external legal, accounting, payroll, insurance, and administrative partners.
- Manage business documents, contracts, invoices, payment records, and other operational files.
- Set up and manage the US office or temporary workspace, including supplies, vendors, services, and daily office needs.
- Identify, evaluate, onboard, and manage US warehouse and 3PL partners, or develop and manage our own warhousing and logistic operations.
- Track US inventory levels across warehouse, Amazon FBA, DTC, and other sales channels.
- Support inventory planning and replenishment coordination with China headquarters.
- Prepare regular logistics updates, including inventory status, inbound shipments, fulfillment performance, returns, shipping issues, warehouse problems, and cost trends.
- Help manage relationships and contracts with US vendors, agencies, contractors, consultants, office providers, event partners, and service providers.
- Support cross-border communication between the US team and China headquarters.
- Support US hiring coordination, including job postings, candidate scheduling, interview coordination, offer letters, onboarding, and employee records.
- Coordinate with payroll, benefits, PEO, or HR service providers as needed.
- Help create basic US team policies, onboarding materials, employee handbooks, and internal process documents.
- Track employee information, contractor information, time-off records, onboarding status, and HR documents.
- Support a clear and professional onboarding experience for new US employees and contractors.
- Help coordinate team meetings, training sessions, and internal communication rhythms.
- Track US expenses, tax requirements, vendor invoices, contractor payments, reimbursements, and basic budget usage.
- Work with external accounting partners to organize financial records and support monthly reporting and legal requirements.
- Help prepare regular budget summaries, expense reports, and payment tracking updates.
- Support purchase approvals, vendor setup, invoice collection, and payment follow-up.
- Help monitor spending across marketing, PR, KOLs, events, logistics, office setup, and contractors.
- Identify operational or financial issues early and escalate them clearly.
- Prepare weekly operations updates and regular business support summaries.
- Track key internal projects, deadlines, owners, and follow-up items.
- Help maintain dashboards, project trackers, hiring trackers, vendor trackers, and budget trackers.
- Assist in organizing priorities, preparing meeting notes, and following up on action items.
- Share information clearly with China headquarters so the US business remains transparent and easy to support.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in business operations, startup operations, HR operations, finance operations, office management, or general business administration.
- Knowledge of relevant local business laws and regulations.
- Experience working with payroll providers, PEOs, accounting partners, legal partners, vendors, contractors, or external service providers.
- Comfortable managing budgets, invoices, expense tracking, documents, contracts, and internal processes.
- Strong understanding of inventory tracking, inbound shipments, fulfillment workflows, returns, replacements, and warehouse operations.
- Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to work in a fast-moving startup environment with a multicultural, international team.
- Comfortable building processes from scratch and improving systems over time.
- Professional level, fluent Mandarin Chinese speaking and writing ability is required.
- Experience supporting a small or fast-growing team is strongly preferred.
