About The Role
The Business Operations & Strategy Lead identifies and pursues the most impactful growth opportunities in the Hard Goods business. This includes Electronics, Home & Garden, and Sports & Lifestyle. The role combines critical thinking, strong analysis, project leadership, and operational follow-through to turn market insights and business goals into measurable outcomes. Working closely with teams in Product, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and other partners, this position improves business performance, operational quality, and delivery of key priorities.

What you will accomplish
- Manage the business operations and strategic plans for the Hard Goods business, determining priorities and assisting in achieving important business targets.
- Identify, evaluate, and size opportunities aligned with long-term business goals through analysis of market trends, customer needs, competitive dynamics, and business performance.
- Develop arguments, strategic recommendations, and execution plans that translate growth opportunities into clear priorities, actionable initiatives, and measurable outcomes.
- Partner closely with Product and cross-functional collaborators to define a shared vision and drive successful execution of pivotal initiatives and category priorities.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives from concept through execution, coordinating collaborators, managing dependencies and risks, tracking progress, and ensuring delivery against defined objectives and timelines.
- Monitor and manage business performance through data-driven insights, reporting, forecasting, and regular business reviews, proactively identifying risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with global and regional teams to apply strategies, tools, and guidelines that support business growth and operational excellence.
- Build executive-ready analyses, recommendations, and presentations, while effectively influencing collaborators and communicating with audiences across all levels of the organization.
What You Will Bring
- 6–10 years of relevant professional experience in consulting, strategy, business operations, business development, category management, or commercial leadership. Experience in a leading strategy consultancy is strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to take end-to-end ownership of a business area, including strategy definition, commercial performance, execution, and delivery through cross-functional teams.
- Strong strategic skills, shown through the ability to analyze complex problems, establish clear direction, and convert opportunities into focused priorities and actionable plans.
- Excellent analytical and project management skills; confidence in using data and performance metrics to derive insights, build tactics, and drive decisions.
- Excellent executive-level communication and presentation skills, with proficiency in both German and English.
- Advanced skills in Google Slides and Sheets, PowerPoint, and Excel are required.
Hybrid Working
This is a hybrid role based in Kleinmachnow/Berlin, Germany. Working from home is possible, with regular office presence (3 days/week) required to collaborate closely with the team.
